    Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area is definitely one of the most beautiful places we have visited! If you missed last week's video about dry camping in the Canyon Rim Campground, you can find it here: th-cam.com/video/87a97OVTDtE/w-d-xo.html . We can't wait to continue the adventure next week when we share our visit to amazing Dinosaur National Monument!

    I love y'all's videos. There are so many out there about how to RV not as much about the areas. I enjoy all the nature y'all go through. From one Texan to another, thank you!

    Great video!!!I l lived in Vernal for over 50 years and I am very familiar with the Flaming Gorge area. As a mater of fact, Oscar Swett’s wife, Emma, was my grandfather’s sister. I have a little bit of history about the ranch that may not be printed in the paperwork you have. Oscar felt that bathrooms should be outside not inside. This is why there is not a door going into the bathroom from inside the house. Oscar died of a heart attack after getting his gun and shooting a porcupine that was chewing on their house.
    I moved to south Texas last March. I think what I miss most about Utah is the Uinta mountains.
    and the Flaming Gorge area .

      Wow, such a cool story about your relatives adding to the Swett’s story! Hope you are enjoying Texas, we definitely loved your former home state! Incredible!!!

    Thank you so much for your efforts.
    I'm previewing your film before I go there.
    I know dogs would always be invited on park trails if the shameful owners would carry out the deposits dogs leave behind.
    I'm glad Flaming Gorge still welcomes dogs

    I was there in May '24. I was surprised at not only the beauty of the area but also all the California condors in the area.

    Well now, this was a great watch! Thank you for showcasing the off grid campgrounds that are so often overlooked and take a back seat to the RV resorts and state parks that focus on comfort and amenities. There is something to be said for finding these lesser known places and experiencing the valuable trade offs in what they have to offer in the way of nature, privacy and the value of just being disconnected. Always appreciate the historical references, museums, and effort you put into presenting all your content. Keep doing what your doing, and we’ll all keep loving it!😊

    This video made my heart happy! Canyon Rim is our happy place, we took our kids camping there when raising our family and we still go as often as we can during the summer/fall. We know Sheep Creek Canyon area very well. Years ago, there used to be a huge spring that gushed out from the side of the rocks. It was incredibly amazing! So glad you were able to see the big horn sheep and experience the wildlife in the area. The views are stunning and we agree, some of the roads are not the easiest to navigate due to disrepair. The sights and peaceful settings are so worth it though which are reasons we continue to return again and again. Sometimes we just long for the peace and quiet and you’re so right, the smell of pine in the air is wonderful! Thanks for sharing!

    I hear out west they are in a drought. Has the gorge been affected? Looks like the river is still high with the gorge releasing water into the river. What a beautiful camp site. Safe travels.

    We flew to Denver from Dallas, rented a van with a couple we travel with often and the 4 of us drove from Denver to Rocksprings, spent the night, then drove all the way around the flaming gorge like you guy's did and ended up in Idaho where we spend the next for days in Yellowstone, we stayed in Driggs Idaho as a base as it was much cheaper then staying in Jackson Hole area which is very expensive and Driggs was a sweet little town. Every day we drove up to the north west entrance of Yellowstone and had a great time. The drive back each day from Ashton to Driggs while the sun was setting was one of the most beautiful drives in my opinion of the whole trip. Every day was different too. Talk about Gods country, wow! We then left and drove a scenic route to the black hills and saw Mt Rushmore then back to Denver. It was like 3800 miles over 8 days, what an epic trip that was.

    Great video! We are planning our summer 2024 trip and are looking at stopping through this area. Could you share what site y'all had in Canyon Rim? Are there any with some shade? We will probably be there in mid June. Thanks! ~Kelli and Wilson

    • @rvamericayall
      @rvamericayall  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Off the top of my head I can’t remember but it was the only that would fit us and the one with the least shade so we could get as much solar as possible. I think Stacie says toward the end of the video as she usually does and/or she probably mentions it in our boondocking video we did when we stayed in this area last year.
