Oh my gosh, I have to get a second job so I can afford more plants. Thanks Steph for sharing. Always love your enthusiasm and knowledge. I learn something new with each video.
I can attest to the disobedience of the Obedient plant. The flowers are pretty pink when they bloom but it’s a short bloom time late summer. They spread like crazy, I usually pull them out where I do t want them! Thanks for all the information Steph!!!
Great selection of flowers and shrubs, they are the bees knees. A lot of the flowers you highlighted are pollinator friendly and we have them in our garden here in Ireland.
Coreopsis 'Moonbeam' is a favorite! I have had mine for probably 25 years, tracking it down after seeing it featured in BH&G magazine many, many years ago. I have dug up a little piece and taken it me to three new homes because it use to be hard to find. Easier now but I think I still have some of my original plant. Unrelated, we used George's video when assembling our Vego garden beds. Even with his IMPORTANT tip, we still missed the plastic film on the inside of a few pieces. I noticed a panel still had the film attached as we were filling the bed but it was too late. Oh well...
Hi Stef🌺. I enjoyed wstching this beautiful video all these plants look amazinhg and hope our nuseries will get all the tybes of hydrangeas . Have a wonderful day .🌺🌻🌺
I love all those great plants you showed, especially the coreopsis. I've been looking for coreopsis. I went to my local Home Depot looking for them, hoping they might have some. Nope! They had other perennials, but not what i was looking for. Oh well.
Really love your videos, so much information on plants and I absolutely adore your gardens too. I don’t comment often but watch all your videos and enjoy tremendously. Sending you much love ❤️
Thank you for the good detail on plants information. Even though, I'm not in MA zone. I'm still enjoying to learning new things you shared. ( from Austin, TX)
When I saw the footage of you walking up to the entrance, I swear it looked exactly like my HD. However the similarity of the outside layout disappears once you enter the garden center. Yours appears to be much larger with much better selection. Several times I have raced down to my HD to grab selections you have featured and they don't have them. I'm in a different state, but also zone 6b. I have ordered several plants from HD onlne and I've been impressed every time with the quality. I bought 4 qt size of the drift rose apricot. Very nice. So hopeful. Planted them and something ate them overnight. I gave them away to my cousin. So sad! Great video! Thank you!
I really loved the Coreopsis that you said you have. And I think I should win a prize if I can guess how many times you'll say "so pretty" in the video. 😁
Thanks, Steph! "Dis-obedient plant for sure. It, along with pink evening primrose and sumac, are the Bain of my existence. Always working on iradocating them. Sure gives me something to do when I am bored... yeah, right!
Hi Steph! Every time you do one of these garden center videos I run to Lowe’s to see if they have these plants. I wish I lived closer to Home Depot. You are getting me out of my house and into the fresh air and sunshine a lot more than I ever did with my veggie garden. I love that you have self control when you go to the garden centers. I’m learning that self control to my husband’s delight. I come out many times without buying a single plant because I’m looking for specific plants and shrubs. I have a question about your personal experience with your spirea. I also have deer and I’m curious if they leave yours alone or do you have to spray. Thank you for reading this.
Hi Tammy, I'm so glad to hear this. I love that you are able to leave your home and enjoy a few hours in the sunshine caring for your veggie garden. I have so much self control because I have limited space now, unless I remove things and pass them along. I always struggle with the thought of creating more garden areas, but I have be be careful as I know that while now its somewhat manageable, I don't want to create a maintenance nightmare for myself as the years go on. Self control is a skill for us plant lovers for sure. As for the deer and spirea, they leave mine alone. Hopefully that continues. Thankfully the only shrubs in my garden they seem to go after are the hydrangeas, and the black lace elderberry. Hope this helps.
@@HookedandRooted I owe my self control to you. So far I’ve only gone crazy with annuals but I love how classy your gardens look and that is my style for sure. I knew deer when after hydrangeas but not black lace elderberry. Thank you for the heads up.
I bought three cone flowers last year and I loved them This year the rabbits at one down so they are going to bloom late I bought the dear n rabbit repellent m have to spray it every couple of days
Hi there, I didn't as when I looked it up, it was actually listed as being pink. I'll check back in a week once the buds begin to open to see what color they end up being and see how I feel then. Thank you! Thanks for watching 🌱
Hi Steph! I love coneflowers and I have found that a lot of mine don’t come back the next year. Should I be doing something to prepare them for winter? I do have a lot of new ones though since they reseed easily.
Hi there! I lost a couple this winter also because we had a very rainy Fall, Winter, & Spring. They do not like moist/wet soil. They can die due to crown rot. My best guess is that this is what might have happened in your garden as well? And yes, they definitely self seed. I have lots of little seedlings which is great.
Hi Steph, what's the the name of the landscape fabric you used in you woodland area? I purchased DeWitt professional from Lowes a few years ago & it's not as durable as I thought it would be.
Hi there! I actually did use DeWitt, purchased on Amazon. We've had it down for about 7 years or so and its holding up well. Maybe this one is a different weight than the one from Lowes? Here is the link in case you want to compare specs: amzn.to/4eBBY9e Hope this helps.
New subscriber here! Really love your channel 😍 can I ask about something, we're about to move to a new house with a - Dry 😂 Fully Blocked porch sadly - in front of it! can I find planter boxes sold in a good pricing in Home Depot? And are all the plants you mentioned in the video able to live and grow in boxes or must they be transferred into soil and gardens to live longer? Hope you get my questions and help me cause I'm really new to all this but im willing to learn! ❤ thank you in advance!
Few years ago I picked out some cone flowers at Job Lot and was surrounded by people telling me don't buy them because the rabbits will eat them. Well I bought them anyway and guess what? The rabbits ate them! Nothing left.i just love them and wish I could have them but not going to work out and I don't like to spray. Oh well.
Rabbits don’t eat mine and I’m surprised cause I have a bunch around. I’ve had them for 3 years now and every year some don’t come back. At least they reseed easily enough.
Hi Mary! I looked it up and it was pink. While very pretty, I really was hoping it was white, so I left it. I'll check back in a week when they begin to open up and decide for sure then.
Hello, Russian sage can usually be found at Home Depot & Lowes at this point in the season here in my zone 6 in Massachusetts. However, I'm not sure about in Florida. I hope you can find some.
A few years back I saw Black and Bloom at Lowe's and Walmart. A few days ago I believe I saw them again at Walmart (DFW area), this time with a sticker that just said "salvia" with no other information. It could have been a different variety but they looked just like mine. If you have/find any, they're pretty easy to divide from the crown with roots attached.
Hi Katrina! The black and blue salvia can most often be found here in our zone (6) where the annuals are. I did see some at Lowes recently, but your more likely to find it at an independently operated small and local nursery. Good luck! 🌱
Oh my gosh, I have to get a second job so I can afford more plants. Thanks Steph for sharing. Always love your enthusiasm and knowledge. I learn something new with each video.

I love the tip of looking up a flower in bud online to check it's color. Now, where's my wallet 😊

lol, I know what you mean! It happens to all of us at some point with a "nice plant" 😉
I love your Home Depot🙆🏽♀️
I’m in San Jose California and my Home Depot isn’t as full of flowers like yours 😩
OMG - Home Depot had 'MOONBEAM' Coreopsis? It's been forever. Bunnies love it tho and IDK how I can ever have it again. :(
So beautiful, thank you for sharing.

Any. Salvia bloom all summer. Zlata Florida. Looking for White Salvia. Why home deport and Lowe’s do not have stoke on white. salvia.
Great video.
Thanks sis much for the information. Your making me want to go plant shopping. Lol Steph I'm a plant addict. Wonder if you can relate.
I can 100% relate Tara. There are much worst things we can be addicted too, so I think we're doing ok with plants 💚🌱
I bought three cone flowers last year and I loved them
This year the rabbits at one down so they are going to bloom late
I bought the dear n rabbit repellent m have to spray it every couple of days
Hi Ana, Yes, spraying should help that. I hope you get to enjoy them this season 🌱

What state are you in
Hello, Massachusetts
I am looking for black and blue salvia.. anyoneeen it this year
I got some at my local garden center a few years ago. Call around to see if you can find them without driving 😁
A few years back I saw Black and Bloom at Lowe's and Walmart. Your Home Depot variety puts mine to shame here in Yonkers NY 😢
I'm sorry, I hope yours gets better things soon 🌱
💖🌸👍🏻🌸💖
Love your details; however, you speak so extremely fast I find it necessary to turn off the sound.
Hi Linda, Yes I can be a naturally fast speaker. I'm glad turning off the sound works well for you. Thanks for watching.
It's so disappointing the plants from Home Depot are consigned.
