- Welcome back! Come along and bake some peanut butter cookies and banana loaf with me. I'm sharing some clips of our hotel stay. We're also getting in our pool for the first time this year! The kids are so excited! Recipes are down below!! 👇
Hello and welcome! My name is Lindsay and I am a wife and stay at home mom of four living in Eastern Canada. *RECIPES*
Peanut Butter Cookies
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
Mix well.
Add
1 egg slightly beaten
3/4 cups pb
1tsp vanilla
Add:
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tap salt
Bake 375° 12 minutes
BANANA LOAF:
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter
Mix well
Add
2 eggs
3 mashed bananas
2 cups flour
1tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
Add to butter mixture and mix well.
Bake 350°for 1hour or a toothpick comes out clean.
Emily has gotten so much more talkative over the past few month, sweet little girl.

Emily is so cute helping you bake. I used to do this with my mom when I was her age. Now that I’m 20 I love baking and cooking
That's so nice that you still live to bake! I always loved helping my mom too! My kids are usually eager to help, especially with baking. 🙂
Oh my goodness, how cute is Emily with helping make cookies and proclaiming she loves cookies. Those cookies look delicious by the way, there is nothing better than a warm peanut butter cookie out of the oven. Watching the kids play outside is always nice to see, especially in this day and age when kids are totally attached to screens. Thanks for sharing the pool time at the hotel and the first swim of the summer in the home pool, the kids were so excited and you captured their excitement so well on film. Thanks, Tania. Our kids love to be outside! They always have. But they also don't have iPads/phones. Emily loves to help in the kitchen, and clearly loves cookies!! Lol

@@mominthemaritimes Mackenzie's party is tomorrow afternoon, it should be fun. They celebrated her birthday in school today with a birthday crown and a pretend cake and when they sang happy birthday to her she was dancing, it was super cute.

Emily is too cute 😍. Yeah, that water looks cold lol. But would be nice to jump in on days like these. We live very close to the river where there's a beach ⛱️ 😎 But would be great to have a pool. Love roasting marshmallows. Especially the maple flavor from PC at the Superstore 😋.

Hi Dyann, the water is warming up with this hot weather we've been having. Today feels so refreshing though! I've seen those maple marshmallows at superstore, and wondered if they'd be any good. Maybe I should give them a try! So nice that you're not too far from the beach. We are pretty close too, we are lucky to have so many beautiful beaches around. But nice to swim in your own yard too! Has it cooled down there at all??

It's not quite as muggy and hot now. It's a high of 25° and feels like 29° which is way better than feels like 40° 🔥 🥵

Such lovely scenes with the kids playing outdoors. I'm sure something they will all enjoy watching as the grow up! Emily is too cute! Kept telling you that she likes cookies-hahaha. I like cookies too and yours looked marvellous. Same with the banana loaf. It's been so hot and humid over here (humidex in the 40s-blech) I'm hesitant to turn on oven. But is cooling down a bit so I will be making some triple choco chip cookies tomorrow. That pool will get good use this summer. Sure it's cold but we're Canadians-and all my life any body of water-be it pool or lake or whatever is COLD and takes a while to get used to. When I was 19 I went on a trip to Jamaica and was blown away at how warm the sea water was-no goosebumps and squeals as I got used to it-just walk in-like bath water.
Thanks, Lily. It's been so hot here the last two days too, but today was cooler! We did that baking when it was cooler. Emily was pretty excited about the cookies!! Lol as Canadians were pretty used to swimming in cold oceans etc!! Lol Dave and I went to Cuba after we got married and I felt the same way about the water there! Wa so surprised how warm it was! Hi from East Tennessee. Y'all have a great backyard. There are lots of things for the kids to do! When we were kids, it was an exciting time when we got to go "barefoot" for the first time in the spring. Lol. That was a long time ago. I'm almost 65.

Lol Emily has more patience than any to brown her marshmallow rather than burn it. Like many, I've been on both sides of that in life lol, even as an adult. I just want it toasted and melty even if burnt and don't like the wait...

Your kids are precious and kids would not be kids if they did not show off for the camera or being funny. lol. Makes life so worth it. Love the cookies too and banana loaf. Yummy. All the sweet clips. Roasting marshmallows and being in a hotel pool. So fun.

Like a eggs and milk and orange after day have a go swimming jump in the shower after shower put on there pajamas brush there teeth she like to play outside in the back yard juice butter
