You Won't Believe This Go Kart's GLOW UP | Full Restoration

This vintage go kart was rotting away in someone's back yard before I took it in and restored it. I consider this go kart lucky as it would have been junk if I didn't find it! The entire process was filmed, and I did you a favor by putting multiple days' worth of time into an 18 minute video. If you have any specific questions, I am happy to answer! The owner said this is a 70's go kart but there were no stamps to prove it.

Im in the process of doing something similar. Where did you get the tires / upgraded Tie rods from? I was gonna "repurpose" the tie rod it came with (its still serviceable) but this is for my kids and tbh they will crash it (lol) and ill end up replacing anyway. Something heavy duty would be nice.

I got the tires from northern tools I believe. And if they don't have them, try tractor supply. Will need tubes and tires for these split rims. I actually did repurpose these tie rods, I sanded them down and made them look new again. There are definitely adjustable tie rods on Amazon/ebay you can order as future replacements though, just measure the ones on in now and get go kart tie rods that are able to match that length
