  • The Jordanaires from the US Armed Forces recruiting TV series "Country Style USA" 1959
    The Jordanaires starting this clip out are [L to R] Gordon Stoker [first tenor], Neal Matthews Jr. [second tenor], Hoyt Hawkins [baritone] and Ray Walker [bass]. Neal takes the first solo, Hoyt takes the second, Neal and Ray have solos during the middle section, back to Neal and then Gordon takes the lead at the key change.
    Introduced by Don Gibson with an excellent guitar solo by Hank Garland [off screen].

    What a great group, amazing gospel music, love all their work with Elvis Presley , i was lucky tk meet two of them whem i was in Memphis for the first time back in 2002, took pictures, may all will R.I.P

    Love this! I first heard them as backup singers on a Patsy Cline record. They are so talented and can definitely hold their own. Thanks tor this epic post!!!

    That was Elvis best backup OH how I love hearing them sing by themselves They are Classic and Timeless I could hear them sing for hours Glad they are in the Country Hall Of Fame with Elvis

      Tbh my fave is the Lineup with Hugh Jarrett who left in 58...But Ray Walker never disappointed either ....

    Hey Alan, Gordon had one of the greatest tenor voices ever! He always amazed me with how high he could sing.
