"OUTDOORS" played it LOUDLY during the very last giveaway at Trail Days, and the ATC was interested in using the song for a video.( not sure when- ha!). It's been so fun watching your progression up the trail-- you are a HERO to me.❤

I mean, I've almost lost a shoe in the mud but it wasn't hiking the Appalachian Trail in the middle of the boonies. 😱 Whew! I'm exhausted just watchin'. 🥵 Anywho! Tomorrow the Mahoosuc Notch?!?! Oh, Lord. I feel for ya. I watched Nahamsha go through there and it was... how you say... OTHER WORLDLY? Like... you gotta squish THROUGH boulder fields. Not over. Not around. Not near-by. But... Been trying to follow where I think you are in real time (by this time, you are done!) but so glad you are in Maine when hikers were being warned about Vermont. Love that you had champagne for your border booze! Yuck about the slugs. Mud baths are not fun. SO glad you made it to the shelter before you got soaked. The lasts are indeed coming.
You have arrived at the final state, awesome. Folks tend to rush thru Maine, but take your time and really enjoy the 100 mile wilderness. It's just incredible. Good job you..
She knows how to entertain herself so she's not in a rush. A lot of through-hikers get tunnel vision - there's only one thing they can do - and get to the point where they want to get it over with. She'll just come strolling in.
Congratulations on Maine!!!! Trust me, you are almost there! 200 miles and change is just 2 - 2 1/2 weeks. You are almost there! Try to decrease your mileage and enjoy the last couple of weeks. Savor the remaining trail, it will pass before you know it. geek
She's good at threading the needle on timing, Like she mentions here, she's past VT which is in problem mode, beat the rain (sneakily showing the rain than panning to see the shelter) "today", and I smart timing the Mahoosuc notch for the early AM tomorrow.

I think the Appalachian Trail people who designed this crazy trail are just plain nuts. Rock climbing straight up and walking and sinking into thigh high deep mud is just crazy nuts. Your getting it done though bad bat. You keep on trucking girl all the way to that Mt K.
I always say to my husband shes the lady that shows the trutb about how bloody hard the trail is! You make it fun though! Be proud of all your achievements ❤
Maine had its 2nd rainiest summer ever (2nd most days raining), and looks like you got to experience every drop of that rain. Lucky you😂. Reminding me why I’m a fair weather hiker
Yes! My husband and I did the Presis at the end of June and it seemed like every tree I went to hold onto had a slug right where my hand went…..ewwwwwwww! Congrats on Maine!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I'm binge-watching these as I plan my 2024 hike! They're so fun and informative. Did anyone already tell you about 164 and 165 being in reverse order? I was on a roll and didn't notice, till I found you entering Maine after the one about Mahoosuc Notch!
It does make me wonder, sometimes trails are trails and they had a purpose before the AT, were these just put there for the AT eg, to hit certain peaks? I've seen a discussion on the Mahoosuc Notch as to why they put it in bottom of the V when usually you skirt it on one slope or the other. Forget if there was a lucid explanation, other than as a challenge.

Many don’t realize it but the the Mahoosuc notch and arm are still in the Whites. The WMNF does extend into Maine for a bit.
