Wow! I hav to tell you, I love your channel and reviews. I'm from L.A., I'm half Mexican and grew up eating the best Mexican food in the world... well, outside of Mexico of course. I stopped eating meat at the age of 13. I left L.A. to travel the world in 1990, and I never went back, except to visit. Now based in Europe/U.K. I've been concocting my own vegan meat versions of favorite Mexican dishes for a long time, but It's hard being here as the produce and spices one needs to produce a really great Mexican dish are not available. Well, some stuff is. But I always bring back a ton of stuff from the states whenever I go. In fact I just brought back 3 suit cases full of stuff! Anyhoo, I think I need to go back to the mother land (for me, L.A.) and get some REAL VEGAN FOOD. Thanks for this video, I'm going to watch all your videos and am now planning a trip back to L.A. and Mexico! The one thing I have always said, is some of the best food is in L.A.! I haven't been there in at least 15 years! :( Haven't missed it until now for some reason!). Muchas gracias!
A few years ago my companion and I were on the Big Island of Hawaii. We had arrived pretty late and had booked a place just south of Kona that turned out to be way off the beaten path. But the place was just beautiful. We didn't find out until the next morning that it is a vegan commune. There was a coupon in our room for 10% off lunch at their kiosk in Kailua. So we took them up on it. We got a plate of nachos that had jackfruit, cashew cheese sauce and the usual beans etc. It was amazing. I like it better than meat based nachos. I have unfortunately not found anything like it since and have considered trying to make it myself for a gathering. If you told me before I had that dish that I would prefer jackfruit and cashew cheese to regular cheese and pulled pork I would not have believed it.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Often I'm on concentrated on how to film the food ambiance etc. I always try as much as I can to blur out the background when I'm speaking in front of the camera. I don't film with the intention of exploiting people nor do I think the universe revolves around me. With the attitude you're leaving this comment with someone could say the same to you.
