  • Why has C-band appeared onto the international landscape for 5G and 6G mobile systems? Frequency bandwidth! Increased frequency bandwidth translates directly to increased user download speeds.
Traditionally, C-band was mostly used for satellite communications, but most countries have set this middle frequency range as a major amount of spectrum for 5G. In the USA alone, over $100 billion dollars has been raised for C-band investment!
Watch my video to find out the specifics on C-band advantages compared to other frequency bands.

Long before satellites, C band was used for terrestrial microwave links, usually by the phone companies. For many years, you could see the big towers supporting the antennas.

    C band is 4 to 8 Ghz.
    N77, N78, N48 are in S Band.
2 to 4 Ghz is IEEE S band. always was.
