my mother was a hospice nurse and i can confirm that they are indeed angels...several of her patients i can remember referred to her as such and considered her a part of their family as did the patients family members...sending love to miss Cindy

So happy that you mentioned a "God wink." Many years ago, I read the first God Wink little book and it has stayed with me and comforted me many many times. At last count, I've purchased 8 or so copies to give to my friends in times they needed a God wink. In Christ, we are NEVER truly alone!

I am the same way, Mx. Tipper! I had to pull off the interstate at a rest area many years ago, because I could barely keep my eyes open, I almost hit a policewoman's car! She gave me a piece of her mind, then said she was glad I pulled over, and she parked her car beside mine and told me to take a nap. When I woke up, she was still there. I thought that was so nice of her.

The gentleman that shared his story with you really touched my heart. The grief you feel at the loss of your spouse is so deep. Next month will mark two years since my husband passed away. He had a very deep faith and I know where he is, but it takes a lot of prayer and faith for the spouse left behind to be able to keep going. I'm praying for Miss Cindy, along with so many other sweet people who love y'all.

It would be neat to put those stories in a journal while the details are fresh in your mind, just to look back and reminisce on later. What a blessing.
Praying for all of you 🙏🏼. I’m sure the doctors will manage Ms. Cindy’s pain. With my own Mother it was such a blessing that she was able to be at home where she wanted to be and for the nurses and CNA’s to guide me through that care when she needed it. It’s amazing the strength that God and prayers give you. I could have never done it without it. It was the single hardest thing I ever had to do but I feel privileged to have been the one to care for her. It’s really an honor to know that you were a part of giving someone that you love so much the peace they need when they need it the most. Sorry to ramble. I weep for all of you too because it touches my heart so. Luv You! ❤

That's just good old East Tennessee southern graciousness. It is more blessed to give than to receive. My sister in Georgia, has purchased 2 cookbooks. Hopefully she will be able to get it to me soon. ❤
I grew up on sunflower oil, in a region without olive oil so the olive taste is not my favorite but after living in Spain for many years I can now recommend a particular variety called ARBEQUINA that is the mildest flavor olive oil! Not bitter, not spicy.

My son had terrible trouble with hundreds of slugs on his peppers and lettuces. We put shallow bowls of cheep bee r & the slugs crawled in and went to eternal sleep. We also put fresh rosemary clippings around the plants and it helped repel them.
Mayo- Tipper, you should try as you have fresh eggs. It will keep easily for a week or better. I use lemon juice and salt and 1/8 tsp of apple cider vinegar or any vinegar. With those ingredients, it’s an easy keeper. ❤

I've been praying for Miss Cindy - thanks for the update. Hopefully, she'll get some relief from the pain she's experiencing.
Corie, I recently saw a tip about how to get rid of slugs/snails in your garden. This woman put several shallow dishes or cans (tuna tins worked well) filled with beer around her garden. Apparently, slugs love the beer & climb into the dishes to get to it, and they drown.
Tipper, I use to make my own mayonnaise alllll the time! They say it lasts 1-2 weeks in the fridge. I used it up by a week anyway. Plus, I used my fresh eggs, so I knew they were fresh. I never worried about it. I used the blender.
Egg yolks, salt n pepper, a tiny bit of Dijon mustard (I think it’s for the emulsifying part, like in salad dressing) , seems like lemon juice and I had a Meyer lemon tree then, and you just drizzle in olive oil till it’s thick. I added saffron at the end sometimes, a few threads. Anyway, from memory, that’s what I did. Nothing technical or fancy. It’s sooooo delicious!
I enjoyed those stories. Made me cry. So special thst you can help folks in times of hardship to have a brighter day. All your hard work is paying off. Well, it always has! But, I think your steam engine has gained a lot of mementum and God has great things in store for you!

I thought the same thing! Lol. I live further north than their location and have saw black bears in the woods. One morning I saw a huge muddy hand swipe on the fender of our truck, looked human but huge! I said to my family that Bigfoot had visited last night lol..

If you're drowsy when you drive, kick off your shoes and drive barefoot. That's an old truck driver's trick. It always touches me to see the example of kindness like you describe about the store manager purchasing the cookbook for the kind aunt. It seems like today there is far too little consideration of those who are struggling just to get by and yet they are kind to others. Many of us today live at a standard that our ancestors could never imagine and yet you hear people in the media constantly complaining. My wife and I are thinking about coming your way and driving on The Blue Ridge Parkway. We might show up at one of your book signings, Tipper. Miss Cindy is in out thoughts and she's blessed to be surrounded by a loving family. Great video Tipper and Corie.

Praying for Miss Cindy. Your videos are such a reminder to me here in Oregon how the little things are so endearing. Only when I visit the South and the terms Miss or Ms (last name) used anymore. People out here cannot understand how a child calling an adult by Miss Cindy or Ms Cindy instead of using the last last name, or Mrs, isn't an insult. Traditions are so important and your family help keep them. Thank you.
God's grace be with all of you. Tipper, if you ever get the inclination to write another cookbook, I would absolutely love to have one on your Mother, the dear soul. Short stories of her growing up, what her own Mother cooked and baked , and her own recipes after she married. You MUST include her Strawberry Cake, with a picture of her holding it! And in the back of it, you could do a short memory of Miss Cindy's recipes. Your first book is a treasure, but I think that one would be the topper. Holding a cookbook to read whenever you want to, is sometimes better than getting on the internet to watch something. I don't know if you will ever do it, but I would be first on the list to order it..................may God's mercy be with Miss Cindy.
