Episode 18 already! These are flying by! Visitors can go through metal detectors and past dogs, and if they have contraband, they get kicked out. You see a No Entry icon pop up on them. This doesn't affect contraband spawning in rooms like Visitation. That still happens. There is a Visitor Reception room that requires a metal detector that you can choose to use that they're supposed to check in to, but I see a few bypass it or just pop in the door I want them to leave by. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to manipulate their routes by adding visitor doors and gates and fencing off alternative routes I didn't want them to use to make them use reception. I have absolutely no idea if they ever pass on that contraband. I've never seen it in the Intelligence overlay.
There is something call visitor reception room, it works to minimize danger to prison either from contraband or health. It great if the tropical fever is activated
You don't have to worry about Elictrical Wire and Perimiter Wall. Nowadays only Pipes cannot go through Perimeter Walls, but Elictrical Wires can, thank goodness
@CharliePryor yeah, at some point. I recall that during the original release of Island Bound, you couldnt do Pipes and Wires through water,, but at some point they changed that too. In Deep Water they're actually constructed instantly
The security glitch is more effective if you are only allowing medium and maximum security criminals. Then it will help to find sitch faster then your informat can. And you missed a medium security guy in the security tab
Oh man this reminds me the time i did an escape attempt. I tunneld the whole cell block and hid contraband in other people cells. Then start a gang, fight the guards for keys etc snd hid that as well before taking the gang and just walking out of the front door all together during a mass prison wide riot 😅😅
The prison is looking great!! You might need another scanner in the storage room.. one is kinda slow :P .... You're not worried.... about the criminally insane....... I tap ALL phones :p 47:10 Dan died cuz you missed a hit marker on him a couple minutes before.. he needed protective custody
Tip: there is a menu to see certain security of inmates, but also if they man be in danger, i saw another prison architect youtuber do this for protective custody
why? Every workman has a first aid kid on their back, every room has one within 5 titles from the doorway too. All my staff have first aid training. - there’s essentially no fire risk that isn’t covered by sprinklers or multiple extinguishers already.
Why is the farm always being fully searched by the guards? is it a setting? or is it just the game being funky at 37:10 they've done that a few times every ep
It is not guaranteed. I have done dozens of shakedowns, and have directly searched toilets as well. All of these actions have a chance, not a guarantee.
You've said that better rooms can incentivize better behavior to lower security level. Do you know if that works for segregating the gangs? Like, if you force all the gang members into a small block with poor amenities and sucky cells, will that encourage them to do the program to become ex gang members?

As for the phones, prisoners only use the phones when they are in a common room or in the yard.
They will definitely use them in canteens as well.

If you put a toilet on the flags for tunnels then dismantle it it will reveal the tunnel. Also if you use visitor booths you can phone tap those to.

They are set to search the farm every 3 days. It’s to check for contraband
If you do a shake down it will find the tunnels 57:30
