But it seems upwork algorithm is in Th favor of the first profile 😊

Great reviews Chad, and thanks for taking the time to drop this amazing valuable content for free. But what I don’t get is that despite being classed as “terrible profiles” that 1st one has earned over 40K, I’ve seen many more like this that on paper break all the rules of what you say should a great profile should sound like, so how are they still achieving wild success with their earnings? I’d bite your hand off to be earning even 10K as a side hustle on Upwork. Most of them don’t even mention a target client but yet they are still getting them.
Would love you to address this in a follow up video to this one, because they must be doing something right to have earned that much on that platform.

Maybe because that freelancer is very inexpensive and worked at cheap rates consistently. She worked for over 7500 hours at $5/hour. That means she logged 4 years of full time work plus time spent to find jobs. 40k is nothing when we consider all those factors

@@zeeshanghazanfar95 Yea that is true tbf, the value of what you make is all relative when you measure it against the time it took to earn that money. I'm interested to know what calculation did you do to know that this equates to 4 years of work?

@@MrConway007 Every work week is typically 40 hours. There are 52 weeks in a year. That makes it 2080 hour in a year. If she worked @ $5/hour, she earned only 10K per year which is very low compared to what other average freelancers are making.

I don't agree about the the "don't even mention that you are xyz when you are trying to pitch your other service" statement. It is not good how this person have put it, but knowledge in sub niches can always be used as differentiators between other people. Simply just swap things around with a different phrasing like "Technical writer with deep understanding and knowledge in mechanical engineering and more" - or something, so they won't loose advantage that they already have.

I agree with what you are saying to an extent but unless Mechanical Engineers are his target client for his Technical Writing Service, There is 0 point in mentioning it.

But those are different niches and its confusing. The freelancer should pick 1 of them or create two different profiles
