It is full of polyfill. I place it in fairly lightly. Should I pack more in?

Thanks for your suggestion. I couldn't find that song. Who's it by?

I wouldn't consider anything without a tweeter to be true hi fi. A whizzer cone is not the same thing

Thanks for watching and for your comment. The first pair of these measured well up to 20khz. They have significantly better hf than the FR8's which don't have a wizzer. I am very pleased with the sound for the cost. A tweeter adds cost plus the complexity of a crossover which if not done well can worsen the sound. I'm still learning tho so one day I might step up to 2way.☮️🇦🇺

That’s because you probably havent heard hi-end fullranges like the Nenuphar cube audio speakers- they are outstanding!

Very nice work! What amp are you using and what is that sub design in the video. Thank you!

Its a Vifa 6.5 inch mid woofer I got on special not a subwoofer. Just a ported box I made to no particular design. Still its something I've yet to figure out.

That amp is a $25 Aust. TPA3116 2.1 amp. 50wpc plus 100w sub. Its a little noisy and poppy. But sounds good otherwise for small areas. I just finished a TDA7498E which is quieter and more powerful for $45Aust. I recommend going to this. I put some early posts n vids and editing the build vid now. Needs 36v power supply.

      Oh 160wpc plus 220w sub. Chinese watts.☮️

Thanks for watching. I haven't yet ventured into the world of open baffle or ribbon type drivers. Maybe one day. Btw this was using a $25 amp, iphone 13 camera and you know what YT does to the audio. Cheers. ☮️🇦🇺

Thanks for watching. A customer sent me some Pluvia Sevens to make him the Frugalhorns. And one of my earlier Bloodhounds had the little something 50's. I actually found them both a bit bright even though my hearing tops out around 13 khz. I am happy with these and far less expensive. I love paper cones. ☮️🇦🇺
