I just realized how old this is!!🤣🤣🤣Dod u ever make the shoes, Lovey?! I was going to suggest a different type of yarn for shower shoes. This type of yarn wouldn’t be ideal to get wet! It will probably stretch & not stay wrapped.💜🤗They are adorable, & U should craft & play around with things! When I was in high school, we used to go tho goodwill to gEt clothes to practice cutting them up & sometimes re-sewing! It’s an inexpensive way to practice before u want to cut up that $30-50 shirt that u think will look AH-MAZING w/ just a few cuts!
Also, something that took me way too LONG to figure out, a CHEESE GRATER😳😳😳Rubbed on jeans, makes the PERFECT DISTRESSED JEANS!!😍😍😍I ALWAYS wondered how they did it! It’s SO MUCH MORE than just scissor cuts! Try on Mens jeans to get the high waisted look of u like that, & make urself some amazing jeans💜🤗

I made 2 pairs of these however after taking 3 steps the knots pulled through the holes and the entire flip flop fell apart. How do you prevent them from being pulled through the holes? I tried to make the knots larger however when you do that it is like walking with pebbles on the bottom of your shoe. any advice would be greatly appreciated.... Hot glue maybe?

I think the silk is too slippery for this project, try using more of a cotton or jersey knit fabric like I did in the video. Hope that helps!

Good video. I just wish you spent a little more time explaining how to cut the length of yarn needed. You actually spent more time explaining how to cut the plastic off the flip flop which is pretty simple as opposed to getting the yarn strap length right. Smh.

a crochet hook or latch hook would have made this even easier.
You should just push through the hole the middle part of the short string from the back of the slipper. Thats easier and will save you time.

it is so so very uncomfortable to walk with anything that is not flush on the bottom of the flipflop. knots don't belong there!
The knot fits into the hole that is on the bottom of that flip flop, no problem :)
The knot will go thru the hole, ending with the knot on the outside at the bottom of the shoe. How can a person walk on this?
You can secure the knot with glue inside the hole so that it lays flat. I promise, it works :)
