I've never seen any orchestra perform anything as close to the original like this. Even the original artists / music directors when performing live change and have new renditions. This is just simply stunning!!!

@4:27 all I see is Fredo's arms around Michael when he's at Mama Corleone's funeral and Michael agrees to Connie begging to allow Fredo back into his good graces. Alas, it's all for show as Al Neri's face makes perfectly clear. In fact each movement of this immortal piece evokes a segment of that iconic movie which is now firmly embedded in our psyches. Fabulous music indeed.

Nino Rota was a total maestro of musical composition. His music is what got me into classical. And even now, I consider him the superior over most orchestral/classical artists. Not many people remain the penultimate over their competitors after death. Nino Rota and his master work live on through his immaculate, beautiful pieces.
Honestly this was such a wonderful performance! The control of dynamics and how everyone was moving to the piece was just splendid! This was an offer I can’t refuse

This score always reminds me of the beautiful land of Sicily as it is quite evocative of traditional Sicilian music.
Beautiful Sicily from where came my late husband. Our children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren carry on his heritage.
(Unfortunately, many people only think of the ‘Mafia’ when Sicily is mentioned, but Sicily is so much more! … and there are many varieties of mafia type criminal societies all over Italy, and I imagine similar criminals in all countries?!)
