    Nice pendant Kathryn! So much easier to do the tear drops with the clay than the triangles, I watched Katie Gordon do that once and have done it that way ever since to put the colours together before rolling it into a skinner blend.

    Teardrops are basically triangles, and when rolled, they are even more triangular, just with rounded edges. I'm not sure why you feel you have to be so careful to differentiate, it's still a Skinner blend in the end. That being said, I really enjoy your videos! ❤️

    I'm so glad that you mentioned the blend technique, it really bugs me when folk refer to the teardrop method as a 'Skinner' blend. For those that don't know, a lady called Judith Skinner developed the original triangle method of blending hence the Skinner blend 😀 Oooh, I just nabbed the last wonky square cutter 💜

    • @KathrynHalstead
      @KathrynHalstead  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you know I've a memory like a sieve... brain fart central ha ha ha but i do my best to use the correct terminology …. Blending is fabulous anyway you do it 🤣

    Great video. When you mentioned the glass beads in the LC I was so excited. I went right to the LC video because my LC got thicker and I didn’t know what to do. I’m definitely going to try the beads. Thank you.

    • @KathrynHalstead

      Suzan if it’s gone quite thick especially in the bottom…. Add a little magic mix give it a good stir …. Then once your beads are in …. Give your bottles a jiggle once a week… it really helps and saves waste too x

    It is exactly as you said, simple and elegant. I love that cord technique, I will give it a go with the sari, but the (satin?) cords you used were very effective.
    The thing about you and your pendants, which stand out from many excellent tutors, is that I can see me wearing all of the jewelry you make. The magic (?? - lost the word) you used to coax the puff is another product I’ve not heard of. I get so excited by this.
    Isn’t this the pendant you designed that your friend, Sarah, (hope I have her name right - her shop is a wishlist filled with goodies!) made for you? It’s perfect and works so well for this piece. Thank you for another video. I do appreciate them so much!

    • @KathrynHalstead

      Magic Mix is just a clear clay softener by Cernit, Sculpey do one too. .... I actually prefer the bigger pendants on Sari ribbon myself but I like to show different thinks not the same old finding etc on each video..... just helps folk with their own creations .....Yes Sarah From Happy Hands Made the cutter up for me, after my very old plastic hand cut stencil fell to pieces ha ha ha

    Minimalismo bellísimo. Impresionante Kathryn. Una pregunta que no comprendo? ¿Why blend Ana and mokume Ana? It,s a reference to the person who created them? Who is her?

    • @KathrynHalstead

      Hi Cristina….. I called it mokume ana as Ana means holes in Japanese….. this was made from the scraps of my first “mokume Ana “ video

    I'm confused how you finish the cords in the end...for the necklace

    • @KathrynHalstead
      @KathrynHalstead  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sandra. I will just trim the cord ends and glue into either 1.5 end cap, or use a small cord clasp (the folding type)
