    The principles Max Faget pioneered still live on, even in the latest modern iterations. Sometimes you have to look back for the inspiration to move forward. Just goes to show how good Apollo was that Artemis is using many of its principles to accomplish its mission.

      I had to research Maxime as I was unaware of his work 🧐
      But it's true the past has many lessons for us although I wish NASA could accelerate this process..I feel the whole concept will be outdated before its finished..

    I doubt it is ice at the end. I suspect the surface is still smoking hot when it splashes down & that is salt from evaporated water.

      You can see it start to grow...I wondered if by some strange aerodynamic quirk it hadn't been heated from space 🤓
