Her feelings for Char between 0080 and 0085 was so one sided that it’s just her and her alone. Char literally sees her as someone to protect and look out for a few thresholds under Artesia level.
And this is why Haman is my favorite Gundam character easily the savvyest and strongest contender in the UC. mean to have won the gryps conflict and then have power enough to strike back against earth, ontop of when Glemy betrays her she just pits him and Judau against each other to wear each other down. Then she'd live long enough to help stop Char's eco-terrorist rampage.
It was Judau who resisted Haman's literal and actual advances towards him. Haman appealed to Judau that Glemy Toto was the greater evil, and Judau simply said that Haman had the same goals, and that was that. The combat between Judau and Haman was inevitable, especially since the AEUG unofficially still opposed the Zabis and Neo Zeon. Glemy's betrayal was the knife stabber that ended up weakening the military and political capabilities of Neo Zeon, as well as her defeat at the hands of Judau(the ass-puller of the UC Century.)

Plus they replaced a lot of the original sound effects with newer ones that didn't fit as well for the English dub. Not a good look.

It’s only when they keep pushing him back to once again take up the mantle of Char that his persona of vengeance begins to return to him. The popular theory as to what pushed him over the edge was because of what happened to Kamille. Kamille was the student he took under his wing and was somewhat even like a younger brother to him. He saw that the kid could potentially surpass him and Amuro as a newtype one day, perhaps even be the new face of newtypes. However, after he discovered what they did to Kamille at the end of Zeta, he loses his shit. He is both grieved and terribly angry at what happened that he ends up blaming Earth for not trying to change even after Kamille’s great sacrifice. After Haman Karn died at the end of ZZ, there was a power vacuum left over in Neo Zeon. And since Char Aznable had publicly returned, he already had the respected name and talent to take over Neo Zeon if he wanted to. So when he joined them, the power simply fell into his lap.
J3SS3 H his goal in CCA isn’t about vengeance tho. He used vengeance as a drive to complete his goal. Which was to fulfill his father’s dream by any mean necessary. Also it’s not just what happened to kamille that causes his shift, it’s that in tandem with the neo zeon war. It solidified that humanity wasn’t going to change no Matter how he pleaded ( his speech at the grand assembly in zeta is just that). That if change was going to happen he’d have to force it to happen.
Gundam is quite unique in the fact that the main characters always, willingly or unwillingly, upkeep the status quo. Usually it's the underdog versus the man and I think a lot of it comes from many of the retcons post CCA. It really wasn't until 0080 came out where we got some more meat to Zeon's "good guys". Whilst there were good people in Zabi's Zeon it was overshadowed by all the pretext of having a genocidal leader, even likened to Hitler, gassing and dropping colonies on Earth. I mean, how do you even defend that? The only answer is something that isn't Federation nor Zeonic, though one would assume that's what Char would adopt during his time from 0080 to 87, though he kinda just loses the plot entirely and thinks dropping big space thingies on Earth is an actual political stance. His goal was to never fulfil a pure Zeon through any means, Char's Deleted affair and his time in the AEUG disprove that when he tries to use diplomacy in heated situations to end conflict and I'm not sure it's because of Kamille either, as he recovers after the events of ZZ. To what capacity we don't know, but he's no longer in a pseudo coma anymore. Sooooo God knows. Maybe he got oxygen deprivation after his Hyaku Shiki got totalled and since he's The Red Comet and Casval Rem Deikun he just had blind loyalty that fed his delusions.

Liked her in zeta, axis/ neo zeon were powerful and a threatening major player. But then her portrayal in double zeta was odd so was neo zeon. I know Tomino was depressed after zeta but if there were ever a Gundam that needs to be re done I think it needs to be double zeta. That's just my opinion.

I always wondered what is the relationship between Haman and Char? Did they served together during the First Zeon War (1 year War) or were they lovers or something? This has been a curious situation for me.

This English dub really feels thrown together at the last minute. Yazan and Amuro probably have the best dub work. Kamille and Jerid have annoying voices, Scorocco's is creepy, and Four is the only female in the series to have a dub that's not annoying to listen to.
Yeah Michael Kopsa voiced Char in CCA and the original MSG 0079. He actually does a good job much better than this guy on the zeta dub. I dont get why they didnt just use the same VAs as MSG. The MSG dub was actually pretty good.

I always wondered what is the relationship between Haman and Char? Did they served together during the First Zeon War (1 year War) or were they lovers or something? This has been a curious situation for me.
Haman had a massive crush on him, Char respected her yet didn't feel the same way as she did for him. Haman was 14 at the time, he was much older than she was. He was also still grieving over Lalah's death while in love with Haman's big sister figure, Natalie Bianchi who died along with their unborn child. This English dub really feels thrown together at the last minute. Yazan and Amuro probably have the best dub work. Kamille and Jerid have annoying voices, Scorocco's is creepy, and Four is the only female in the series to have a dub that's not annoying to listen to.

Yeah Michael Kopsa voiced Char in CCA and the original MSG 0079. He actually does a good job much better than this guy on the zeta dub. I dont get why they didnt just use the same VAs as MSG. The MSG dub was actually pretty good.
