I would like to point this out, as I see a lot of people saying Roblox mods don’t do anything. The fact of the matter is that they do actually ban stuff, and the majority of the stuff shown cannot really be found unless you search for it (with the exception of the catalog). You could also just get unlucky and stumble upon it, but that’s just my perspective on that stuff. I would also like to point out that Roblox is understaffed, mostly untrained, and not really ‘in touch’ with the current generation, so they can’t understand some slang, and some of them also do not speak English. They also cannot cover all sectors at once as of the current I’m pretty sure there’s only 1,600 moderators (using the majority of sources I can find) on Roblox, which, doing the math, means there’s 1 moderator for every 50,000 people. This is not accounting for moderators who may have different roles like support, etc. The game itself is great in some aspects. I feel like people really focus on the bad aspects of the game, and that’s kind of bad, imo. This is kind of just my opinion on the game and its moderation. If I make you mad, I am sorry, and I hope you have a great day. Also, some of this is pulled from a Ruben Sims video that he made about Roblox moderation like two weeks ago. I just personally believe the moderators should be given some slack, as they are low-key overworked with how many people they have to ban and moderate over, as well as the items, groups, and reports they have to go through every day. You could also just get unlucky and stumble upon it, but that’s just my perspective on that stuff. I would also like to point out that Roblox is understaffed, mostly untrained, and not really ‘in touch’ with the current generation, so they can’t understand some slang, and some of them also do not speak English. They also cannot cover all sectors at once as of the current I’m pretty sure there’s only 1,600 moderators (using the majority of sources I can find) on Roblox, which, doing the math, means there’s 1 moderator for every 50,000 people. This is not accounting for moderators who may have different roles like support, etc.
The game itself is great in some aspects. I feel like people really focus on the bad aspects of the game, and that’s kind of bad, imo.
This is kind of just my opinion on the game and its moderation. If I make you mad, I am sorry, and I hope you have a great day. Also, some of this is pulled from a Ruben Sims video that he made about Roblox moderation like two weeks ago. I just personally believe the moderators should be given some slack, as they are low-key overworked with how many people they have to ban and moderate over, as well as the items, groups, and reports they have to go through every day.
(TLDR: The moderation is shit due to bad training, being understaffed or overworked, and having non-English coworkers.)
