Well Bjorn got outplayed by Harald Finehair a few times as well. Tho to be fair Harald was a very skilled politician that knew exactly what buttons to push and what moves to make.
Him and Ubbe were the only likeable ones that resembled Ragnar at all. Ivar was a sociopath and the other two were pathetic and weak. Better casting could have helped them too
You know what is funny? The actor of Ivar and Hvitserk played a game where they had to guess what character they were and one ask if they have stupid lines and use this line and he was Bjorn
When he went to live alone in the mountains to find out if he can survive that's where the character really starts to develop into a man. Loved the first seasons.
A large amount of the charaters were real. A mass grave of the great heathen army was found in Repton England and a 9ft tall viking is believed to be Ivar by some historians.

I liked Bjorn as a character, but I was also impressed with the actor. That dude played in the Hunger Games and it was okay, but in vikings he really showed that he is capable of more.
