Interruptions within the EAS make people wonder what's going on. Then at the last second the EAN warns that 275 nuclear Russian missiles are heading towards the United States, but at that time it's too late.
Nice touch, especially the malfunctioning EAS voice on channel 11 at around the 5:00 minute mark. I can all too clearly imagine the rising sense of panic flipping through channel after channel trying to get some info, ANY info, about an EAS alert for the entire continental US and coming up empty..... and by the time you get the full story it's already too late. Chills, actual chills, and I jumped when the TV cut out. VERY well done!

You may only be able to get a text out. Towers will be jammed with everyone doing the same thing or if the govt could override the tower and keep it free for their use. Landlines may be a little better but not by much.

HyperБ2002 Personally, I think having an interesting developing plot is more important than the best looking EAS slides. scpparamus' slides aren't nearly as nifty visually as matts or even Jakob's, but his Halloween specials (I don't care for the weather scenarios) are almost always really interesting and fun to watch because of the way the story develops and unfolds. Doesn't have to be realistic to get me tuning in, just novel and creative.
I love realistic scenarios, and I think this is an interesting idea. The whole 'can't find the news!' stress does build up...but it overstays its welcome a bit, I kinda feel. There's a point where it goes from ramping up tension to the viewer reaching for the mouse and skipping ahead in the video. If this were closer to 8-10 minutes or so this would be more effective...in my personal opinion. Still, a fun watch and I'm glad people are still making these!
it kinda has to be this long though because if it was shorter then it would be 15-20 minutes instead of 10-15 minutes and I dunno about you but 5 minutes extra GTFO time is pretty valuble
