      Narrowc ross A "LITTLE" !? That moron Kingcrusher makes 40 min. long videos, and the reason they are so long is because after every single move, he reflects his own stupid analysis upon the game. "Blabla.. then white would probably go .. .blablalb... and then maybe black would respond..."
      This is just ridiculous commentary. Trying to predict what could have happened "if and if" is impossible and unncessecary. Best chess game commentary sticks to the point, explains the plan behind certain moves and sheds light upon advanced tactics. That's it
      Mato is the best !

    why the hell is the king walking into the middle of the board in the opening

    • @nomibe2911
      @nomibe2911 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The King was forced into those positions by falling for the trap. Had the King moved to e2 when he was first checked, the Queen would have moved to g4 and would have got a Queen so the King avoided that and was forced to the center of the board.

    • @AlonsoRules

      nomibe2911 big risk though from black

    • @amodelchucrut
      @amodelchucrut 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      nomibe2911 actually, it doesn't win a queen. if Ke2 Qxe4+, and then Qxa4. It doesn't win the queen, although black DOES end up 2 pawns up and much better position.

  • @TheStupidLama
    @TheStupidLama 11 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    I actually started doing these "crazy sacrifice-attacks", sacrificing pieces, forcing the king out of his base to take the pieces and luring him into my own terretory. It's really fun but I managed *once* to trap my opponent in a mate. In most cases he finalle found a save place for 2 or three moves, giving him enough time to attack me. And when I finally had to defend, he had the stronger army to fight back ;) being behind 10 points and still winning: brilliant. maybe I can manage a brilliant draw like this or even a win. But at least the win usually needs missplays on the opponent's part, which is only likely in a blitz game.

    The way I view this game is that white made an unconventional opening and black tried to capitalize by making some very sharp sacrifices. White had no choice but trot the King out at that point, so I wouldn't consider that bad play on his part. Both players put themselves in a very precarious situation which left black desperate to continue his attack on the king, and white desperately trying to protect the king and gain a tempo to develop. It was a fitting end that it would result in a draw, as both players went all out and actually played rather remarkably given the circumstances.

  • @sriballa2002
    @sriballa2002 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Mato, Great fan of you commentary and excellent selection of videos. One question on this game, When the black queen check white position H4 (after white king takes the black Bishop), white could have moved pawn to g3 thereby attacking the black queen and defending the white king. Extremely weird move by the white king to position e3. My mind tells me that this game is choreographed..they the moves are made..

    luring a queen into taking a pawn deep within the own base and finaly trap her there (either so she cannot move anymore or even to capture her) on the otherhand is a bit easier if your opponent goes for an "easy pawn" kinda trap

  • @pheonican77
    @pheonican77 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Because the pawn on the B file does better use if it advances and keeps the white king moving. If the pawn would have captured the bishop, white would have a chance to bring another piece in to the action.

But couldn't black play, when white king was on B5, King to D7 and even if Queen G4 than King D6 and as you said the queen goes for the charlie chaplin veriaton than white loses rook and there is no way to stop sheck mate from bishop on C6 please tell me if i am wrong.

    A draw in Chess can never happen if a king is in check. Draws in Chess can only happen if a king is not in check and there are no legal moves for the player. For example, if white’s king is not in check, and white has no legal moves left on the board, then it is Game Over and a draw by stalemate. Stalemate is a situation that only happens if your king is not in check, but you have no legal moves left on the board. Checkmate can happen at any time, but only when your king is in check. Checkmate is a situation when your king is in check and there are no legal moves left on the board. If stalemate happens, no one wins or loses because the king is not in check. If checkmate happens, then the person who checkmated the other player wins and the person whose king gets checkmated loses. For example, if white’s king gets checkmated, then black wins because black checkmated white. This means that white’s king is in check and white has no legal moves left on the board, resulting in a loss for white and victory for black. Stalemate and checkmate both mean Game Over.

    I wish you had shown the variations on turn 17 had it been bishop to D7 instead of bishop to B7. I feel like there could have been a mate in there somewhere.

    At 3:40, instead of qd5, why not kb5?

    I don't know about 'the greatest draw in history' but it's a fascinating little gem.

    4:56 should have captured bishop with pawn. It is safe by knight. The was checkmate in about 3-5 moves

      Black has nothing to check the king, so a move like e4 breaks the pawn structure and allows the King to escape. Then White can develop the Queen and the Bishop and win the game. Black was going for a draw (or a surprize mate) from the start.
