Was looking at my screen and you popped up! Thank you!!! The Flymph you tie here is just an excellent pattern for all tyers and fly fishers. It is much like the Pheasant tail nymph or the GRHE. Have those you don't need much else.
Indeed. I think I mentioned in a previous video that I consider hare's ear, pheasant tail, and peacock herl to be "The Holy Trinity" of fly tying materials. Thanks for watching.
Thanks, Stephen. I am also trying to continue to build on the previous lesson with this fly, not to mention that it is one of my favorite patterns ti tie and fish!

Dry fly (I know that subsurface is 80% of a trouts diet. Come down to Virginia. I'd enjoy your company. Maybe you could teach me some tying in person? I assure you a good time, rain or shine. Unable to promise perfect weather. Fish, talk, tie. You will not want for food. Ahh. I ramble. Always look forward to your new posts.
Size 12 2xl Nymph hook. I will occasionally tie these on dry fly hooks if I plan to hit them with some floatant and fish them dry. There are times when this is an absolutely deadly technique.
Lovely flymph. I really enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing the fly with us. Look up old hat fly tying. They have loads of flymphs. . www.oldhatflytying.com/
