'The Poison Flower Blooms Twice' has already been mentioned a couple of times as a good addition to rot/poison builds, but don't forget about the Poisoned Hand. It inflicts deadly poison on its own but more importantly, it's damage buff effect when poison occurs also works if it's in your off-hand, even if you're two-handing.
IF you want a really fun way to run that, a Sword lance with Blooms Twice on posion does 540 damage (1h) with a 50/13/50 stat split (vagabond class, not talismans) while having 186 buildup per hit. It can posion a fire knight in a single running R2 and a haligtree cleanrot knight in 4 R1s.

The real power of the Death Knight weapons is their faith scaling meaning the dragon cult incantations build finally has a lighting damage melee option that scales with faith outside of Lannseax's glaive. This also allows the effects of the lighting surrounding tear and lightning scorpion charm to be useful in melee range. For an incantation user, splitting dex and faith just wasn't worth it to have a melee weapon that did lighting damage. So you would have to use either a sacred or flame art affinity melee weapon, leaving some damage on the table from your lighting buffs. I would still love to see a new type of faith lighting affinity, maybe call it dragon cult scaling and make it red, but these two weapons will definitely be a mainstay in almost every lighting damage incantation user's arsenal

4:40 the new "The Poison Flower Blooms Twice" (helluva name) ash can cash out on both rot and poison, not sure of the damage tho. Also the Sword Lance for some reason has Colossal Sword numbers for buildup on status infusions, another W for that bad boi.
@ShinxBOOM247 I haven't been able to take the ash off since I got it. It's so fun and useful. Have been leaving comments on all the videos related to it that I can so other people have this info. I mean you can basically put it on everything, the animation is cool, it can build up rot itself, and it "popping" all your rot damage at once can be the difference between killing a hard boss and having to do 2 phases all over again. More people need to try it out with the proper info
Fuck Fromsoft honestly, they only ever nerf shit and don't care about shit weapons (same in AC6). I think I'm gonna start pirating their games from now on, they leaned too hard into the "hardcore game for hardcore gamers" and forgot to make the game fun.
I feel so conflicted about the flowerstone gavel, because… we have literally no faith scaling red lightning weapons. That, and… -Owned by an Ex-ancient Dragon -Uses the Red Lightning of the Dragon Cult -There are literally no Dragon Communion spells other than Bayle’s that deal lightning damage (Placidusax’s ruin doesn’t qualify as a dragon communion spell for the dragon communion seal) It’s like they took a weapon they intended for the dragon cult and then kinda retroactively made it an arcane weapon. You even find it next to the item that turns you into a dragon… and boosts your dragon cult incants. I’m legit just gonna use it as a defense debuff on my pure faith dragon cult build, because it just makes sense.
If I were you, I would use it on a FTH/ARC character. Just meet minimum requirement stats, use the Ash to proc the debuff, then swap off it to your best seal in the main hand, the dragon cult seal in the off hand, and go to town with your cult incantations. After all, the debuff doesn't scale off your stats.
Why would you not also be using Dragon Cult lighting incantations in a Dragon Communion build? And if you don't want to have the Arcane investment just use Florissax herself cause she spams the Ash of War.
@adambielen8996 Well, Dragon Communion builds only need a max of 28 faith, as their seal has S scaling in Arcane. That only allows for the use of 6 Dragon Cult incantations. If anything, those six are pretty good, and cover some weaknesses for the Communion incantations.
Hell yeah, the Sunflower! Glad to see that one up here. Did not play with a build where I could use it, but I was planning on getting it on another character when replaying the DLC.
Fun fact: halbard with the new AoW, The Poison Flower Blooms Twice, procks huge burst damage on enemys with rot, put it on a nonsomber halbard and pair it with the bud poleblade for around 10k damage hits.
4:53 One of the new ashes of war specifically the poison flower blooms twice Is an upgraded poison moth flight that can proc on both poisoned and rotted enemies.
One of my personal favorites of the new weapons is the Swift Spear. Very fast moveset that's fun to use for status builds though the scaling isn't all that great for damage via the weapon itself (Which I get why, the R1 combo is very, very quick to finish and it has like 6 attacks in the first two moves)
I just love the swift spear because it has a moveset more nuanced than *poke, poke, slightly stronger poke* Maybe we’ll finally get the Bo staff next dlc
I keep wondering when I’m going to see the Solitude Sword get any love from content creators. Colossal sword damage in a greatsword package, and 89% damage reduction on block. Great weapon to two-hand especially with the new talisman.
Agreed on flowerstone gavel. After I picked it up, the fact that it deals pure physical damage while also scaling its lightning skill damage off of arcane (I was an arcane build and dealing insane damage with the skill) is just satisfying. The skill has great damage/FP efficiency, decent tracking, decent range, and reasonable charge time. Took alexander's shard, godfrey icon, lightning scorpion, and lightning cracked tear into putrescent knight at scadu level 10, and it killed the boss in 5 zaps.
The deathknight axes lightning scales with faith instead of dex, making them my new favorite weapons. Was always annoyed about that with the other lightning weapons.
Awesome video, great insights as always. You can tell how much you love the game and all it gives, with how thorough you are, deep diving into every bit of data just to give us the most honest, and hilarious, breakdown.
Fextralife makes thematic builds for casual players. They don't make min maxed builds for sweaty "git gud" gargling no lifer tryhards who can't get hard unless they're squeezing out that extra 12 damage from their builds.
@@MrRykageand why exactly would the casual player who doesn't want to squeeze the extra 12 damage from their weapons, even bother watching a build video on TH-cam? Do people really need that much help to match Rellana's armor, twinblade, and the moon Sorcery she uses? Also it's not 12 extra damage. On a casual build, with the benefit of having at least 2 of the right talismans, you could probably get about 1500 damage from dark moon greatswords R2 (excluding the physical damage of the weapon) On a much more dedicated build you can push that damage up to 3000~4000. So yeah, just wanna point out, it is not 12 extra damage. More like a few thousand extra damage.
There actually is a "poison moth flight" for rot, it's "the poison flower blooms twice" You jump in the air, grow a spike out of your foot, and do a dive kick. The kick applies rot, and it kicks up a little rot cloud after too that also applies rot, but if the enemy already has poison OR rot, then the dive kick does a LOT more damage, and removes the debuff, just like poison moth flight does, but it works for poison AND rot.
9:05 Sword Lance also shares the guard counter from great spears and the status scaling from great spears (which is usually 20ish higher than HTS). Str/arcane, blood infuse, spinning gravity thrust just feels so right on this thing (with or without a shield).
The blinkbolt axes are some of my favorites, and I think the only reason that they’re slept on is because they’re found in catacombs, and because when they first drop, they don’t really stand out if you don’t actually look at them. They don’t have a standout name and they don’t look that special in your inventory (and they aren’t a katana, curved sword, or twinblade), so a lot of people just never try them. Once a lot people try one, they love it.
I would like to add to the Sword Lance that its status build-ups are... unrivaled by any other weapon in the game. At 17 arcane it has 121 bleed build-up per hit, 139 poison, and 150 frostbite - I know the latter is not boosted by arcane, but it is quite massive regardless. If the weapon has lowered status MVs per normal attack, or something else, then it could make it less good, but as a PS5 player I can only go by what the game shows, and those numbers are nuts. As a side note, it keeps those same numbers even if you change the ash of war on it~
btw u now have a ash of war that detonates poison and scarlet rot now the poisoned flower blooms twice or something so u can now detonate scarlet rot like u can with the poison moth ash of war and it does crazy dmg by itself to
Flowerstone Gavel my beloved. You make no sense as a Dragon Communion weapon but Im so happy you exist because you single handedly carried me through the DLC. Exploration threats mean nothing when you dont have to go near them and it doesn't take 8 million FP to clear a room with one breath attack.
I’ve mostly just been using milady since I got it. The light greatswords attack animations are so fun to play with. Adding the wing stance ash of war, gives a lot of variation in the playstyle. A lot of fun.
can't wait to hear your thoughts on the Carian Sorcery Sword. I still need to try the new patch but I'm fairly disappointed about the sword/catalyst hybrid we got. I love the idea of it, but a small thrusting sword with no unique skill AND can't be infused or enchanted... great for enchanting shields, though.
Glad to see the Bud Spear getting some love. I see people hyping up the other weapons like crazy, meanwhile I liked that one so much I respecc'ed both my whole build and my entire fashion kit just to match it.
Its not that the weapon is not cool. It's unpractical, very low damage and AoW is shit tbh aside of looking cool. Other weapons of the same class just outmatched it in terms of damage and usefulness. Glad some people like it but it does need a buff. (Rusty's tier lists are not really good source of informations )
@@bellpuggoyle3273"It's bad and it's bad and it's bad and I ain't elaborating on why" isn't very convincing. Weapon's fine other than maybe needing more rot buildup. Damage is okay, level gooder.
@@FelisImpurrator They explained it pretty clearly lol and I agree with them, the weapon is pretty underwhelming, the ash is impractical and the rot buildup is bad. The damage is also not really good enough compared to other arcane options so there is little reason to use it.
@@FelisImpurratorthey did write “low damage, aow shir, outmatched by others in same class in terms of damage and usefulness”. Meanwhile your defence of the weapon was just “its fine” Come on
Hell, yeah, Flowerstone Gavel at number 1! Did a Dragon Communion Build playthrough for the DLC and immediately loved this weapon upon getting it. Really felt everything good about the build there.
I immediately maxed out the Flowerstone Gavel when I read its effect. I've always been drawn to hammers, and I love that I can do pierce damage without having to use one of my least favorite weapon types (spears). This weapon is perfect and I'm so glad to see someone else appreciate it as much as I do.
I'm surprised to hear no mention of the Red Bear's Claws R2-backstep. It's so simple yet so satisfying to use in combat. I've been playing around with those a good amount and having the possibility to just dip out the charged R2 and reposition feels amazing
It's bugged, if 1 arrow out of a fan hit it applies the status build up of them all. Tested it myself, got the exact same status build up point blank vs getting hit with a single arrow. On top of that you can also arrow glitch with it, not explaining that though it should be buried lol. I hope it's not gutted when fixed - perfumes were hit hard.
I personally am blown away by how good the thrusting shields are as an offhand weapon for casters. The carian thrusting shield consistantly outdamages my main hand blade which baffles me to no end. Definitely a must have if youre a caster. Especially when enchanted with magic paired with the pearl greatshield talisman for near 100 percent magic negation
Almost every weapon on this list were the ones I stuck to in my first playthrough, even going so far as to beat Rahdan as a Dragon Priestess cosplay complete with flowerstone gavel and the Dragon Priestess Heart transform tool. I love all these weapons dearly, and dual wielding sunflowers made my bonk brain very happy
I think my favorite weapons in this DLC are the additions to the basic weapon types. I had this epiphany just before the DLC came out that the new weapon types are going to be cool, but they could also pull a fast one and just add like ten new fist weapons on the side, and sure enough they added five new and exciting fist weapons that made me very happy, including but not limited to two longswords strapped to your wrists, and a golem fist that lets you do a rocket punch like some kind of megazord. They even added another ballista weapon, increasing the number of ballistae in the game by 50%
The blinkbolt ax was what finally suplanted the golden halberd for me. I used that damn halberd from the literal start because I wanted to use long reach halberds on my paladin and oh look str faith. The blinkax finally gave me something new.
I tested out almost all of the weapons today, and fell in love with Florissax's mace too. It's wonderful, and I ADORE the speed it has. I feel like Radagon without the ick factor of the Golden Order.
Another thing about the horned warrior greatsword is that it is available from THE last non boss enemy you fight in the DLC. So many people don’t have the opportunity to use this
I know you have a pin about The Poison Flower Blooms Twice, however, you missed that the AoW applies Rot on its own, and, can pop Rot whenever you want basically, allowing you to combo it with Kindred of Rots Exultation. Apply Rot, 20s later, pop Rot, reapply Rot. Repeat.
I like how you rank these weapons. Ranking based on objective data is all well and good, but ranking based on personal experiences is better for the kind of content you make. Just decided to drop a positive comment. Have a nice day.
Death Knight's Longhaft Axe is my go to. I've been using it in my Dragon Paladin build. Full Death Knight set, with that axe, the Dragon Communion Seal, and I run a 50/50 mix of Dragon Cult incantations and Dragon Communion Incantations. Current set up is Bayle's Flame Lightning, Placidusax's Ruin, Knight's Lightning Spear, Fortissax's Lightning Spear and Heal from Afar for heals. Super fun build.
Rustyyyyyyy I just found a super drippy outfit for the altered preceptor's long gown! I'm using Dryleaf Arts in the DLC, and after seeing your video grading all the drip, that piece really tied my outfit together. Dryleaf Dane's hat, Kaiden legs & gloves, altered preceptor's long gown. fantastic wandering martial artist outfit! The hat really makes the whole fit tho, I just can't find a chest piece that looks as good for the theme that sells the look as well as the altered preceptor's long gown
Smithscript weapons are amazing and maybe slightly bugged. They have E physical scaling with Int and Faith, so when you infuse them with flame art, holy, cold, or magic and pump the relevant stat the int/faith scaling applies to both the physical and elemental damage. This means that a fully upgraded Smithscript Cirques with Holy/Flame Art at 60 faith and only 25 Dex has 800 AR in the base game. I use the smith, fire scorpion, and guard counter talismans as well as the deflecting hardtear and fire cracked tear. This build is so good that when I summoned a friend a DLC boss fight the boss was halfway dead before my friend was even in the arena. Only issue is the ridiculously short range of the Smithscript weapons.
I am not sure how underrated it is, but the smithscript axe is my second favorite weapon in the dlc behind the Milady. The long range stagger on the jump heavy feels so good and It's so fast. It just helps close the gap safely against guys that can be flinched by it, and that's appreciated. I use the cold affinity and a status build ash like stormcaller, sword's dance, or savage lion's claw to jump attack into that an ash, causing significant frostbite build up. It is just such a great stagger tool, and I would be saying the same about the spear if the running heavy didn't cost ~67 stamina because of a bug. I am about to play with the shield, so we'll see how that goes. I have heard good things.
I haven't seen any people talking about any of the weapons at all, but I noticed that the Sword of Solitude seems to have pretty insane Strength scaling and a ranged AoW that yeets out pretty quickly. If it wasn't for the fact that I'm currently running a Storm Blade build, I'd be using it.
PMF has been completely superseded by PFBT. The new hotness covers massive distances instantly and allows you to dash passed people who are running at you, has an AoE shockwave that stuns targets if you don’t make direct contact, does rot buildup, and also pops poisoned *and* rotted targets. One of the strongest ashes of war I’ve played with for both pve and pvp (if your target is stupid or mashing R1) Poison builds just got their be all end all tool.
There is a rot damage explosion option, poison flower blooms twice. It works for both poison and rot. Quite good too but it is an ash of war so awkward to use with the pole blade. Much better than poison moth though. There is also a mushroom helmet that gives a 10% damage buff when poison/rot procs which you didn’t mention.
Totally agree on the sunflower of doom. As soon as I got that thing I maxed it out and used it the rest of the game, it's amazing. I ended up not really using the ash of war too much though, to the point that I wasn't even rocking shard of Alexander. It def came in handy at times though. I'm struggling to pick a weapon for my next playthrough though. I seem to gravitate towards bonk builds, even subconsciously. I recently played DS3 again as a "dex" build, but ended up using the Astora great sword the entire game. Like, they for sure did that shit on purpose. I'm really enjoying the backhand blades, especially the cirque ones, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna go that direction.
I absolutely adore the sword spear it’s been my main weapon since its luck drop way back when. I was worried I was going to be stuck with it trying to fight dlc bosses, but I’m so glad for the new spear. Hopefully I can dual wielding both together as I love switching between two handed, shield, and dual wielding to switch up game play.
8:14 you can control this quite a bit if you unlock and aim the blinkbolt portion yourself (to go to the side or behind the enemy), then lock back on for the heavy attack (which has immense tracking as your clip shows). Such a cool weapon, and I think the underrated part is going away quickly after ONGBAL showed off some of its potential against the final boss of the DLC.
1 underrated weapon that I had been hoping for in the DLC is the Messmer Soldier Spear. Treespear R2s, infusable, doesn’t look as weird as the Lance does when using some AoWs, an overall solid weapon. On a quality build, bleed infusion with Cragblade paired with the axe, spear, and 2-handed talismans makes it a menace to deal with.
Personally I'm LOVING the Beast Claws! Beastial Vitality, Godskin Swaddling Cloth and the Crimson Sapping-Cracked Tear let me really lean heavy into the "Recklessly attacking disregarding my own life" kind of playstyle because I'm getting healed from everywhere while using that weapon art. Not to mention that that weapon art has so much lateral movement per swipe that I often just dodge incoming attacks unless they're sweeps. It's also nice to see the double chunking of health bars because I'm running them as Cold Beast Claws +25 with 99 Str & 50 Arc, building up both Frostbite and Bleed :)
The Death Knight's Longhaft Axe is the only weapon I found in the DLC that I was willing to abandon my current build for. I just fell in love with it. In fact, I tested it with both a Strength build and a Faith build, and it is completely viable with both.
Here's a video request, and its actually not a ranking tier list for once. Could you make a video explaining how all of this works, like scaling, soft/hard caps to levels, stuff like that? I'm fairly new to the series, I'm on my second playthrough of Elden Ring and have I think 1 boss left in Dark Souls 3, but I honestly don't understand alot of the specifics of the weapon scaling system, what attributes do what minus the obvious ones like vigor and endurance, and so on. You seem like you know all about this and I'd love to see a video from you explaining all of this.
Forget perfume bottles or bloodfiend's arm for arcane, the bloodfiend's forks are where its at. Arcane scaling and inherent bleed means you can slap poison affinity Flower Blooms Twice on them and everything gets poisoned and bled in like 2-3 hits. Throw on some status talismans and an alex shard and the ash hits a poisoned boss for like 1/5th of its health.
4:30 There is a way to consume scarlet rot for a burst of damage. The new ash of war “the poison flower blooms twice” it applies scarlet rot but if they are poisoned or scarlet rotted it will consume the effect and deal a big burst of damage. I like to let the rot tick for a while and then trigger the burst before phase 2 since most bosses will remove the rot when they phase transition.
Fun fact if you have the Danes footwork in your left hand and do the first 5 hits of its attacks then use piercing fang on the dueling shield it will change the way the ash of war of the obsidian lomina changing the way dynastic sickleplay looks
Love that last hammer Interesting fact is that when u use the ash of war the spears that appears lingers a tad bit and still do damage if something run into it
When I showed my friends the damage I was getting with my Dragon Communion build after picking up the Gavel, they were freaking out. It felt like something I just picked up and ended up fitting so well with my theme.
My personal faves from the DLC are the Putrescence Cleaver, Sunflower, and the Staff Of The Great Beyond (not a weapon ik but I've been DYING for a incant/sorcery medium that does both). Honestly a lot of the weapons in this DLC are just so good, moreso than ever honestly.
Excuse me, the Hornsent CGS having additional Holy damage on it's AoW makes complete sense lore-wise, seeing that you are enveloping your weapon with horns of the divine crucible. Also, in regards to the Great Katana, I think it might be a little slept on, though it's already considered decent. About half of it's moveset when 2-handed is Thrusting attacks, most importantly Roll/Crouch attack, Backstep, Running light and 2nd light of the light combo, meaning after each of the previous, you can do a quick additional stab. Leda's Armor and the talisman you get if you invade Ansbach with her boost all those attacks by a combined 27%. The Two-Handed Sword talisman boosts all of those by an additional 15%. The Spear Talisman boosts thrusting counter-attacks, which is what you'll be doing almost exclusively, by another 15%. On top of that, for some reason the Great Katana has an incredibly high Flame Art scaling, meaning a FTH build on it with Flame Spear (for the temporary extra fire damage) brings the AR to some ridiculous levels, for how quick the moveset is. It's a Katana, so it has innate bleed, so FTH/ARC build is also an option. Most bosses are weak to Pierce damage, and also surprisingly don't really have that much resistance to Fire (except obvious ones). What I'm saying is that with the right build, this weapon is basically Colossal swords crouch-poke on steroids.
Hey, if you're ever in the need of more lists to make, I'm curious on best buffs ranked on each slot (mostly body, but maybe aura too). There's so many interesting body buffs I feel torn for choice, and in your incantations video there weren't any body buff incants ranked super highly.
Hahaha I was thinking damn this dude works fast! They just dropped a patch this early morning and he’s already pumping out a new list Either way, looking forward to all the new videos for the next couple of months 👍

I mean you can basically put it on everything, the animation is cool, it can build up rot itself, and it "popping" all your rot damage at once can be the difference between killing a hard boss and having to do 2 phases all over again. More people need to try it out with the proper info
Yeah, was gonna mention. Used it with Rot Rapier, and on Final DLC Boss, was dealing about 4.5k
I couldn’t find confirmation - is it a damage pop based off how much the poison/rot would do? Does it do more if they have both status?
No rain of fire changes was equally hilarious and depressing
Maybe in several weeks, Fromsoft rather nerfs things into the ground instead of buffing everything that needs it
Fuck Fromsoft honestly, they only ever nerf shit and don't care about shit weapons (same in AC6). I think I'm gonna start pirating their games from now on, they leaned too hard into the "hardcore game for hardcore gamers" and forgot to make the game fun.
@@devildante9 Skill issue. A game for everybody is a game for nobody.

He knew he didn’t have a choice
I feel so conflicted about the flowerstone gavel, because… we have literally no faith scaling red lightning weapons. That, and…
-Owned by an Ex-ancient Dragon
-Uses the Red Lightning of the Dragon Cult
-There are literally no Dragon Communion spells other than Bayle’s that deal lightning damage (Placidusax’s ruin doesn’t qualify as a dragon communion spell for the dragon communion seal)
It’s like they took a weapon they intended for the dragon cult and then kinda retroactively made it an arcane weapon. You even find it next to the item that turns you into a dragon… and boosts your dragon cult incants.
I’m legit just gonna use it as a defense debuff on my pure faith dragon cult build, because it just makes sense.
It's a great swap if you're cosplaying a Death Knight on duels/invading.

“Ahhh shit. Here we go again.”
Really nobody?
elden ring soap opera person!
I was waiting for the Anvil Hammer so I appreciate the call out at the end hahaha
1:27 the Scarlet Rot incant you get from the Ruins boss remembrance is very bad also ❤
FromSoft really waited for Rusty to finish this video just to drop patch 1.13
Truth.
It's not patch 1.13. It's patch 1.12.3
"the poison flower blooms twice" ash of war IS the poison moths flight for scarlet rot. You're welcome.
And for poison
One of my personal favorites of the new weapons is the Swift Spear. Very fast moveset that's fun to use for status builds though the scaling isn't all that great for damage via the weapon itself (Which I get why, the R1 combo is very, very quick to finish and it has like 6 attacks in the first two moves)
I just love the swift spear because it has a moveset more nuanced than *poke, poke, slightly stronger poke*
Maybe we’ll finally get the Bo staff next dlc
Solitude Greatsword has helped me smack around Malenia a bunch of times
And the content buffet begins (now rank every grab attack)
The deathknight axes lightning scales with faith instead of dex, making them my new favorite weapons. Was always annoyed about that with the other lightning weapons.
Rot does have an instant damage option. Poison Flower Blooms Twice fulfills that function for both poison and rot.
Awesome video, great insights as always.
You can tell how much you love the game and all it gives, with how thorough you are, deep diving into every bit of data just to give us the most honest, and hilarious, breakdown.
The Fextralife burn lol
They need it to reset frostbite on their shit ass build
@@parkerheal7049bring fire perfume. That’s what I did but other than that Ye it’s mid asf lol
On a casual build, with the benefit of having at least 2 of the right talismans, you could probably get about 1500 damage from dark moon greatswords R2 (excluding the physical damage of the weapon)
On a much more dedicated build you can push that damage up to 3000~4000.
So yeah, just wanna point out, it is not 12 extra damage. More like a few thousand extra damage.
Tbf frost fu is a good way to use the hand to hand arts I didn’t use their build but they Aight and so much fun lol
Oh god I just spent an hour on shorts, I’m at 0:15
9:05 Sword Lance also shares the guard counter from great spears and the status scaling from great spears (which is usually 20ish higher than HTS). Str/arcane, blood infuse, spinning gravity thrust just feels so right on this thing (with or without a shield).
Rusty!!!!! You’re back from the existential dread of the DLC!!!!
Dread??? as in bayle??? VILE BAYLE??!?!!
BAYLE!!!! Oh, vile Bayle!!!!
You face a true drake warrior, and I, IGON!!!
CURSE YOU, BAYLE
The blinkbolt axes are some of my favorites, and I think the only reason that they’re slept on is because they’re found in catacombs, and because when they first drop, they don’t really stand out if you don’t actually look at them. They don’t have a standout name and they don’t look that special in your inventory (and they aren’t a katana, curved sword, or twinblade), so a lot of people just never try them. Once a lot people try one, they love it.
YEEAH I WAS WAITING FOR THIS SINCE 21 OF JUNE
6:24: I love how a furniture piece casually gets glued to the character's head there, lol.
8:40 unique skill mainly scales with faith and little bit of dex
I’ve mostly just been using milady since I got it. The light greatswords attack animations are so fun to play with. Adding the wing stance ash of war, gives a lot of variation in the playstyle.
A lot of fun.
Good video, thoroughly enjoyed it
can't wait to hear your thoughts on the Carian Sorcery Sword.
What's your fashion for it? I'm having a hard time with that.

Hell, yeah, Flowerstone Gavel at number 1! Did a Dragon Communion Build playthrough for the DLC and immediately loved this weapon upon getting it. Really felt everything good about the build there.
14:28 just lift bro
I immediately maxed out the Flowerstone Gavel when I read its effect. I've always been drawn to hammers, and I love that I can do pierce damage without having to use one of my least favorite weapon types (spears). This weapon is perfect and I'm so glad to see someone else appreciate it as much as I do.

I'm surprised to hear no mention of the Red Bear's Claws R2-backstep. It's so simple yet so satisfying to use in combat.
I've been playing around with those a good amount and having the possibility to just dip out the charged R2 and reposition feels amazing
Ansbach’s bow is criminally underrated, so fun and inflicts good damage on its own, but also makes status effects so much easier
Sees the DLC weapon ranking video.
Me: "Already? That was fast."
It's only for a handful of underrated weapons.
Me: "Oh."
They even added another ballista weapon, increasing the number of ballistae in the game by 50%
My friend and I both love almost all of these weapons. I’m glad they are getting recognition, especially the flowerstone gavel.
That sword lance single handedly carried me through my first run through the DLC after I got it. It's my mvp.
So many people don’t have the opportunity to use this
10:30 I'm pretty sure that's actually exactly what "without modification" means, and I'm here for it.
Dodging and jumping over boss attacks with the blinkbolt axe aow makes me feel so cool despite literally never doing it on purpose
The Anvil Hammer is a stunlock machine that deals insane damage. Not to mention it's AOW prevents enemy counter attacks. I freaking love that thing.
Only issue is the ridiculously short range of the Smithscript weapons.
they nerfed the broken scaling and increased the range on the daggers & cirque in todays patch
Rusty I love your videos! You’re doing amazing, keep up the good work dude!
Best elden ring content in TH-cam it gives you overall and hidden info about everything in elden ring ❤
Rusty gotta say, your idling characters are pretty, any chance you've a video on how to recreate them?
Speaking of the perfume bottle, you can’t forget about the Mushroom Hat for also buffing you when you get poisoned
PMF has been completely superseded by PFBT. The new hotness covers massive distances instantly and allows you to dash passed people who are running at you, has an AoE shockwave that stuns targets if you don’t make direct contact, does rot buildup, and also pops poisoned *and* rotted targets.
One of the strongest ashes of war I’ve played with for both pve and pvp (if your target is stupid or mashing R1)
Poison builds just got their be all end all tool.
You have an eerily similar editing style to Marcbutevil, and I love that TH-camr so now I’m subscribed to you
Just when I was wondering when he'd do a weapon ranking video. That was fast XD
Awesome vid by the way.
I started using the flowerstone gavel two days ago, and then you dropped this video, I'm glad it's getting the recognition it deserves
So glad someone else noticed how amazing the Flowerstone Gavel was I used it almost exclusively after I got it
Personally I'm LOVING the Beast Claws!
Okay, but pls do a full DLC weapon ranking too though. I just love the commentary.
Just hoped on the elden ring train and i wathed your videos first. What can i say... funny, helpful and legit. Glad i stumbled on your channel 🥂
I’m loving the red bear’s claw
Love that last hammer
Interesting fact is that when u use the ash of war the spears that appears lingers a tad bit and still do damage if something run into it
When I showed my friends the damage I was getting with my Dragon Communion build after picking up the Gavel, they were freaking out.
I love that there were multiple nerfs, but Rain of Fire is allowed to exist as an FP sink that may in fact be healing whatever you hit with it.
They just dropped a patch this early morning and he’s already pumping out a new list
Either way, looking forward to all the new videos for the next couple of months 👍
I've been loving the Swift Slash backhand blade combo
