The XP-55 is a fantastic airframe, but for a t6 premium light, I prefer the German Spit. You can't go wrong with either one, however. Great to see you back, Vee!
Thanks for the video. I would love to see a video with this plane but without the Ultimates on, or experimental. Basically everything not allowed on a plane that is not specialized. That will give me a better idea on the performance out of the box. Thanks
For a newer player staying at tiers 5-6 with premiums to build some understanding of the game and train pilots is probably going to be more beneficial then trying to go on tier 8. In a decent game at tier 6 you will make a lot more credits then in a bad game at tier 8. Same goes for tech tree vs premium. A good game in a tech tree aircraft will give you more credits then a bad game with premium one. XP-55 is pretty good for newer players. Also something that needs saying for grinding silver credits is that it depends on damage, so get planes that you do consistent damage with. Kills and capture don't matter (much) for credits.
*FYI:* If you were flying last year during the WoWp 7th year anniversary you got a female jester in a red emblem that gives a 5% plane experience bonus. So checking the "accelerate crew training" box then means 5% crew xp bonus instead of the 2% that all the others have (except for a special Masha emblem and a special Pogo emblem). So now on all my planes (except the Masha, I don't have the Pogo) have the female jester sitting on a 7 emblem. This emblem completely negates the use of all others.
it had an allison v1710 engine due to p & w line shut down and the 3rd prototype crashed during an air demo killing the pilot and the passengers in a car sideswiped by the plane
I love this plane. Even if I have not unlocked it yet. Two other planes came out of this experimental project. The Vultee XP-54 that is also in the game. And the Northrop XP-56 Black Bullet which they have not added yet what I know of. All these planes were pusher props and really pushing technology at the time. They also had the same sort of downfall. The engine they planned to use, which coincidently, was the same engine. The Pratt & Whitney X-1800. When that engine failed to materialize, then they all scrambled to redesign their aircraft. And that created a lot of issues on multiple levels. It was like the Pratt & Whitney X-1800 that was the downfall for all 3 project. And it was the time it would take for each aircraft to resolve this issue, jet aircraft would have overtaken them all, most likely. After all, these prototypes were flying in 1943 and that is just when jet aircraft start to become all the rage, with the Me 262 already operational at the time. Now I guess they could have thrown a jet engine in these aircraft like they did with the Swedish J 21. That one is also in the game as the J 21RB. ;)
How alive is this game? Starting watching your vids cause its something else than war thunder, but i know that world of warplanes wasnt well received at first, so just out of curiosity, how is alive is the playerbase?
Tier x is pretty dry at non-peak hours but the mid tiers are fairly active. You will never wait more than 1:50 for a match, it will just put you against bots. Don't under estimate them, I've had bots better than players. For a free game the matches are quick and the progression is way easier than warthunder or other wargamming titles.
vee bat vampire have worse hispanos at beginn when ı flying with vampire it was wery efecktive but after few months ,wg nerfed believe me is true ,becouse ı feel this in game fight.. xp-55 is more more better ! vampire is like paper so weak ! ı hate the english hispanos guns overeheating so fast in last sec enemy airplane is lucky becouse hispanos need time to hit again

I started the game a week ago, and went for the vampire cause 'Jet' 😂

it already has a swept wing so a jet would be an interesting mod for it

Interestingly the j21 started with a prop and then moved to a jet on later models, so it is conceivable
i also recommend the P-51 K brings in good money as well.

interestingly, the xp55 didn't work out well due to engine overheat problems and dangerous spin mechanics.

This plane is quite busted IMO. Racks in ~100k every time, without boosters or premium.
