Great video thanks. Just awaiting delivery of my Peugeot E Expert 75kwh for work. Building Trade. Will complement out Model 3 family car. Finally able to go full electric 😀
I'm a massive Mercedes fan but I think they are so far behind in the EV van market to were they should be. I'monly going off the Amazon delivery driver I was talking too they only do a MWB at the moment and I think it only has a 90 mile range and I think the Van Is limited top speed to 65 or 75 but that might be at amazons request.
Very much look forward to hearing your experience of using EQV especially as your looking at adapting it for leisure use. I'm also considering this to replace my I-Pace and Connect Custom camper into one vehicle. Is there any chance they will give it more power in the future or even 4x4?
I'm a massive Mercedes fan and I like they are getting into the EV Market obviousley they don't have much of a choice but didn't they use to have shares or something in Tesla but they don't seen to have taken that onboard.
How practical would the EQV be around Cornwall if you don’t have access to a home charger? I can see Tesla are planning a supercharger park in Newquay, but for all other makes there only seems to a handful of chargers.
I'm waiting to watch someone do a review and ask the vehicle to turn on the heated seat...to which the vehicle responds "sorry you were to cheap to option in the heated seats"🤣🤣🤣
Out of curiosity, is that 2.600 kg coming from specsheet or did you weigh it? I did the latter and it said 2900 kg with just 3 kid seats in it... Other 7 seater option is from Peugeot I think but smaller battery. Some big SUV have those back seat options. Not that I would want my kids in there. People also keep telling me Tesla model X comes as a 7 seater. I wouldn't want to be seen in that... Plus it is twice the price of our EQV
I'd like to see a proper VAN version reviewed, rather than day-van style. Let me come and try some 3m lengths of pipes, boilers & radiators! Loads for tradespeople looking for a decent sized, decent range, good value van... 1000s of older Vivaro size diesel vans about, that need replacing! Stoke on Trent, so could get to Alton Towers from Bournemouth, just need them to get some chargers there! Perhaps use the C5 as a load test! Looking forward to the anti-taxi progress, needs a grooovy brightly coloured wrap to start with! Are you doing the EV Festival in August at the British Motor Museum?
@@davidshipp623 Think the hole idea about people running out of battery is overated most of us probably only do local journeys and the over night charge is probably fine think it's different if you make a lot of long journeys
@@michaelcarney6280 I meant more the whether the cooling and degradation would be as bad as for the Leaf, but I haven’t checked if the eNV 200 has passive cooling like the Leaf. Bizarrely we use our Model S for long journeys and only use my wife’s ICE wheelchair accessible vehicle for short journeys as it is a bit noisy and van like. Ideally would like just the one electric vehicle good for both. Until lockdown I used to do 25 - 40,000 miles a year in the Model S and range was never really a problem (and that’s with a 2016 model) so I think you are right, with the mileage levels you get these days its never really a problem in any EV.
So the voice activation is programmed to know that you want heated seats on but has a set response to say it cant? Wouldnt it be easier to just turn them on, instead of creating a new response to say it cant???? Crazy people at Mercedes!
Im sorry, but I need to stop watching your videos. The unessesery camera movements are awful. They make me sick and I dont udnerstand why the camera moves the cam all the time. I have worked as a cameramann and I really dont get it. Good luck with your channel!
Loving the videos. For conversion work it might be worth giving the guys at VanHaven www.vanhaven.co.uk a call. They’re local-ish and whilst they mostly do VW I’ve seen some non VAG stuff. Also, check out the halo roof from TransporterHQ transporterhq.co.uk/ they’re building a Tesla T6 you might be interested in too.
Sending this review to my brother, that, RSEV replacing the BBC when it comes to Educate, Entertain and Inform. 👏🏽

Hi
Can you convert the EQV to a 9 seater
Always wanted a Vito, I personally prefer then over the Transporters. More comfortable.
Not been in one but being a Mercedes It's just better looking.
Looks really nice looking at this due to being a 7 seater
17:05 product idea for someone: 3D print a base for the seats to allow using them in the garden!

12:40 I imagine Simon Pegg trying to move the seat around and then Nick Frost grabbing it and chucking it into the nearest ditch.
🤣
Honestly at this point it might be worth just waiting for the iD Buzz
Bored of waiting 💁♂️

Haven’t planned for EV festival BMM as yet but it’s a possibility.
EV’s in park and London-Brighton first ones though
Mercedes offer a Marco Polo camper conversion of the V class, so it shouldn't be much of a stretch to do the same with the EQV.
What is the ride quality like in the rear seats? Is it harsh like a truck?
It’s very reasonable indeed!
Would love to see EQV as a wheelchair accessible vehicle
Think that will come naturally eventually maybe or some company willcome up with a version anyway.
@@michaelcarney6280 yeah there is a Nissan eNV 200 that can be converted but I worry about the battery management

eVit/tourer 2020 also have the 90 kw pack...and is about 15000 gbp cheaper.
Is it very much like a van interior though. Plus you also need to add VAT, with it being classed as a commercial vehicle.
E Vito has same mechanicals but more basic inside by far. And not much cheaper. Ex demo v class for similar money made more sense to me
i agree that that the Vito dash is dated... but my understanding is that buying the Tourer entitles you for the 6000 EV discount?
@@daniellenaerts5750is that on commercial vehicles? I know cars only get £2500 for anything below £35k.
@@truttzimy understanding is that he Vito as range is classed as commercial.
The Mercedes commercial is the E-vito, tourer. would be a more fair comparison.
Funny without ever thinking about it
you should have taken the ''Marco Polo' version ?
If there was an electric version, yes I’d love that
A set of amg alloys will make it look less like a taxi
Spinning those seats round in the VW is a breeze and you don’t get a hernia 😂
Yep absolutely! The merc should have them for sure
I would take the EQ drivetrain out of the Merc and put it in the Caravelle. Better looking, more practical and doesn’t look a Heathrow cab.
Merc logo as big as lorry logo now
Wrap it in some wild color...or colors

VW still looks like cargo van not luxury van.Even not comparable with Mercedes in any way
