Beautiful! Love the idea with acrylics and oils to this degree.

Sylvia Paul Art I look forward to trying it your way. I’ve painted acrylic backgrounds and then oils for everything else before, but not part of the composition painting itself. Thank you, Sylvia. Your work is so pretty and inspiring!
And do you have a version of this slowed down? I know I can slow it down, but it’s kind of jerky when I try it and it’s not a smooth video. 😊. Would love to see it in true time.

KK Daniels hi Yes have a go. It's a time lapse video so that's why it would look jerky when slowed down. I don't have a real time version of this one but there is one on my channel which is a still life and done in the same way. It's very time consuming to do the real time videos and edit them but hopefully I can do some now and then. Thanks for comments and suggestions I really appreciate it.

It’s beautiful. I wonder how long did it take you to finish this piece? Did you use the moulding paste with gesso, after canvas gessoed, or with paints?

Homemades hi . I did the acrylic underpainting on one day then the oil stage on the following day. The canvas is primed with gesso first then sometimes add a little fine texture paste to the acrylic or you can apply it before the paint just to give a little extra random texture. Hope that helps.

Hi Sylvia. Thanks so much for the tips. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. You’ve earned a new fan from New Zealand 💕. And you also remind me of our very own mixed media artist, Wendy Walls (just search Wendy Walls Art New Zealand, it will pop up). Keep inspiring! Love from NZ.
