CAT is a great selection. They recently got into the power tool market as well. As long as infrastructure (data centers, hospitals, etc.) keeps expanding, then it’s a great option.
Agreed! Thats a company I’d like to look more into long term they seem pretty consistent.
I 5/10 stocks mentioned. As a retiree, Im currently living off my dividends until I apply for my max SS in 2 years. I have NO DEBT.
Nice thats awesome! Sounds like you got a great plan.
This was one of my fav videos that you have made so far. I own several of these stocks and others are on my watch list that I'm hoping to buy when cheaper. I'm excited to see more videos as I recently found your channel. Thanks!
Glad you liked it and I appreciate the support!

Great picks!
Great list for Div Growth. I'm really glad you included Ares (ARCC). I got a feeling you will add them to your portfolio! I got most of them as they are good, solid companies in great shape for the long term. I'm curious why you left out someone like Proctor & Gamble (PG), maybe 10 is too little. Good stuff as always JP!
Thanks! And ARCC is definitely a beast. I’ve considered them but my I feel like I’d get annoyed with myself if I saw the S&P 500 get 25% one year then ARCC gets 9% cause its almost all dividends on the return. Still gotta think about it though! And I love P&G! Just wanted to use JNJ and CVX for the dividend aristocrats/kings cause a bunch of those stocks have lower dividend cagr’s although they have good dividend growth history.
@@JP_Dividends Good stuff. You should do a vid on PG sometime, I'm sure others would love to hear your thoughts too!
Really, really good mix of stocks! 👍
The only company I’d switch is Starbucks in favor of Texas Roadhouse 🤔
And mayyyyyyyybe JPM for P&G, simply to diversify and shield against a recession. 🤔
Still, this mix looks amazing!
@@mikaelsmith3605 thanks! And thats a good company to sub in for SBUX. And P&G is a good pick for shielding a recession. Thanks for the support!
I watched this based on the title, about a "dividend" portfolio. First thing you talked about was the "ten year growth rate" of the stocks!!!! Why? I retired a year ago, and a "dividend" portfolio is one that generates cash, with growth being secondary. I have a portion of my portfolio in growth stocks. MSFT, to me is not a dividend stock, as the yield is so small. It is a growth stock with a small dividend. Now, that being said, I own MSFT in my growth portion, with dividends reinvested. At some point down the road, the yield on cost will be sufficient that I may start pulling dividends for income.
@@jdgolf499 sorry but thats because capital appreciation matters when investing? If it didn’t matter then buying dividend yield traps would be the best strategy because of the high yield but its not because total return matters and dividend investors get a bad wrap in the finance community because of that logic some people follow. There are still some high yielding stocks in the portfolio like ARCC or VICI. It’s a mix of different sectors, dividend yields, growth rates, and total returns which is important when building a portfolio.
Lol2 dude you're so funny xD you don't even know what a div is and you say msft is not a stock hahaha. You don't know how to generate income from it? Nice. Bravo.
I own Visa, MSFT, JP Morgan and Starbucks!
Great stocks!
haha you couldn't work out that average in your head at 5:39 ? - great video as always JP 😁
Haha I work in excel all day and I’m use to highlighting data and looking in the bottom right corner to see averages😂 but sheets you have to click up to see the avg😂😔
Hi!🤛🇵🇹
What do you think about Main and Blue Owl BDC'S too? Good job👍🏻
Both seem pretty solid! Thanks for the support!
I also like OWL and Main...the Diference is which One is undervalued, with an future performance perspective😊
What are your thoughts on HD and O?
Love both of those! I own O and use to own HD (sold HD cause it became too small). Both great dividend stocks!
CAT SBUX V Will be adding CVX next month
Good picks!
Surprised altria group wasn't on here
I’m not a huge fan of their business model and don’t trust they’ll do well long term. Past decade has been rough for them.
@@JP_Dividends very good to know
How do you feel about Lockheed Martin, they pay a decent dividend
Beast of a company and the US loves their military so probably not going anywhere for a while.
Long arsenal~LHX,LMT, NOC,RTX!~
No Realty Income?
@@rayrayz2008 You could definitely go with O or VICI, I own both!
Don't like this list. Most of these companies won't beat the market. Some have been losing or flat for years.
Thats okay, most people who pick stocks won’t beat the market and past performance doesn’t dictate future performance. Thats why I say at the beginning of the video you can just buy ETF’s and call it a day.
Pltr avgo ph Trow Smci cost cmg amd
Nice picks!
❤❤❤❤
Visa? Growth sure. If you buying for dividend, no. Terrible video. I will put you as don’t recommend.
If you don’t understand basic math you can just say that! If you bought Visa 10 years ago vs Verizon you’d be making almost the same amount in dividends today with a 5x increase on your initial investment while VZ you’d be only 38% higher. I know the initial yield for Visa isn’t attractive but believe it or not companies can grow their dividends so the higher yielders don’t always win long term. Use this calculator if you don’t believe me.

You're such a copycat. It bothers me. You know what you're doing, don't act clueless.
@@migsbaradainvesting4802 what are you talking about?😂
@@JP_Dividends The "inspiration" you're getting from dividendology, dividend income growth, dividend talks, dividend data. Even the thumbnails. Told you you were going to act clueless 🫡😆
You do realize all of us post pretty consistently right? Of course we’re going to have similar videos we’re all talking about dividend stocks😂 its super common for us to do stock analysis videos on the same companies, or talk about different scenarios relating to dividends. If you’re talking about the business guy in our thumbnails, thats just a free vector online anyone can use and a lot of faceless channels do. Nobody owns it and nobody is forcing you to watch the channel man relax😂
