Martin Peters was a great footballer. In midfield he always seemed to have time on the ball. He had great vision and that quality of being able to score goals without defenders realizing that he was in the box.

The Liverpool v Huddersfield match was the first game I ever remember watching on the telly. Luckily I was able to attend a couple of games at Anfield the following season as a youngster with my now late Dad. Great memories.

The difference between then and now is astounding !
Tottenham manager slates top players in the press,,those players go out next game to prove a point and shut him up !
Today's players would whine,whinge and cry to anyone who'll listen to either get a move or the manager sacked !
Such a shame the beautiful game had to sell its soul....
