RiP Sinead ... the voice of an Angle with a tongue of a devil... Never anybody better to sing a song, or say what needed saying ... Will miss you always 💔..
Irish folk music with a voice filled of blues.. her voice is filled with love, hate, pain, passion, wisdom, anger.. you name it you find it al back in her songs.. R.I.P
I fully agree to all the wonderfull and beautiful comments here. She is a true legend and a wonderful human being. I hope Ireland will rename their airport to her name. So that people cannot forget her and for what she stood for.❤
So sad she was criticized for speaking up against what was going on within the Catholic Church. While she was right the whole time. She sang like an Angel and had the courage to speak up against what was wrong even if it meant being made an outcast. God Bless her.☘️☘️☘️
So much grief in Ireland 🇮🇪 💔 as much as I would feel losing my DNA family..sinead o connor the inner circle of Yr family were cruel . And this song was sinead in younger years. Our protest rebel who was never afraid to the outside vile media the people were sinead true friends RIP 🙏🏼 I cry for your loss
Sinead, voce dell' anima e talento puro, canta senza nessun supporto tecnico.
The beautiful studio version is found in Common Ground, voices of Irish Music(1996). Glad I bought that CD in the late 1990s. Try to buy that second hand if you have to since so many years have passed.
Dont know why but I wonder how a duet with Sinéad and Lisa Gerrard would have sound like, we'll never know The more songs I hear , the more I admire Sinéad O'Connor
In Ireland 🇮🇪 we were at her funeral in BRAY co wicklow ..over 4000 people on a promenade..that's the people who sinead loved more than her inner circle who were cruel. I cry tears that day I still cry tears
I thought Niamh McGlinchey's version was my favorite, but no, Sinead kills it here. Glad to hear this version. She was a lunatic for her cause, in her own right, but she also sang amazing music!
luke’s version is indeed beautiful but sinead‘s is the only version that’s true to the original poem on the third verse imo. where "known“ is intended to rhyme with "stone“. the other versions i’ve heard follow the dubliners version
"The world was never meant for one as beautiful as you."
Very true 👍 slainte from Ireland 🇮🇪
She sang every song she ever sang with absolute perfection, a musical genius amongst other great things RIP 😢
So true
Beautiful song, beautiful legend, R.I.P. sinead
Her voice is fantastic. But look at the way she moves the microphone while she sings. A true live singer at heart.
What a beautiful face she had! Not just the usual aesthetic sort of beauty, but a sort on almost spiritual inner glow!
So true
Voice of an angel. The most beautiful performance of this song that’s ever been sung ❤️ RIP
I agree it's beautiful
So much like the feeling of grief for a friend. Hurts so same 💔
❤
No technology required for this lady. Pure unadulterated talent.
No fancy clothes, makeup, hair.....just authenticity that is mesmerizing!
So true she's brilliant
Sinead O’Connor is the best LIVE singer of all time.🫶🇮🇪

Absolutely flawless. The light of her spirit will never fade.
Beautiful. These raw live performances were the best. She did not need all that production on the recordings. Real Music.
So true such an amazing legend, R.I.P. Sinead
Can't stop listening to all these songs, all these days .Thanks be to God for video recordings.
imagine relying on what mainstream TV chooses to share with us, video and TH-cam is a blessing for sure
Thanks be to the lads that recorded it. Not god.
Beautiful Sinead... thats just beautiful.
Fabulous. Very beautiful. It is a great version of a great song (and poem by Patrick Kavanagh .)
I agree
Never heard this version before. Incredible.
Absolutely haunting

come back when you get to the gate, Sinead! we love you, darling
thank you so much
When and where was this performance? She is indeed Ireland's treasure.
Says at the start of video - Shepherds Bush Empire, London 18th October 1998 as part of the " I could read the sky" concert

❤❤❤❤❤❤
😭😭😭😭😭💔🕊🖤
I believe Luke would approve.
Even Madonna admitted that Sinead O’Connor has a good voice.
❤❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢,
...The Fallen Angel has returned home...Let the others be heard!

Solid effort, but only Luke can do this one.
