@@walterdayrit675 It probably was. Corpulence is symbol of status in Hutt culture: more fat you are that means you have wealth and power you have, as you need to do nothing yourself and can have just your underlings to do whatever you want.

I've never understood what the deal is with droids in this universe. They all seem like their sentient. They fear dying and feel pain for some reason.

In-canon intelligent organic species use mind-wipes to "reset" a droid's brain. In my head-canon, I say that the software and especially the hardware of Star Wars droids is such that if they are left alone for a long time, they have a high chance of becoming self-aware (but not all the time). As for feeling pain: I would say that a particular maker of droids wanted his or her droids to be more "real" and mimic organics, so he or she made components in their droid's brains that feel pain. The same could be said for emotions.
The best answer is that it depends. Some droids are simply only what their role pertains; Protocol droids basically interact with everything from the perspective of their programing, Gonk droids merely walk, astromechs do what is expected of them e.t.c. Most droids don't evolve enough and are regularly memory wiped to prevent them from developing detrimental quirks. Some droids either are just more involved or become more complex as time goes on.
I imagine the form is also a limiting factor. Like terrible dog breeding habits, you could be the smartest, individual droid in the world and you could have the body of a Gonk and be a little different from the background setting, kinda like having a passionate, activity driven dog in the body of a pug or bulldog, incested to the point of making simple tasks laborious. R2 can't speak a word of English but demonstrates his independence through action. He doesn't usually need to be told to act in his best interest. So there are "sentient" droids in the galaxy, but they are relatively few and far between. Unless it's for comic timing, in which case all B1's are sentient. XD

I hope not but I get the feeling he’s eventually going to square off against Boba to see who’s going to be Vader’s favorite bounty hunter to hire and we all know who that eventually is. Ochi is growing on me. He’s like a loud mouth outgoing kid following the strict focused adult Vader.
@@darthridic123 I was thinking more that Vader will kill him. Everytime they have one of these "Buddy-cop" storylines with Vader and other person they end up dead at the end of it. Either somewhere along the way or at the end of it by him.

The real reason no one has succeeded in killing Vader: When they have him crippled, they stop to take a moment to revel or to monologue. Giving Vader a chance to get his strength back.

A hut body builder? Imagine a myster galaxy contest? I think a hut slitting along a beach next to a body builders weight set. Would have caused a few stares, and huts to lose their composuer. If Vader fully embraced the dark side like Palpatine, managing to kill Anakin once and for all, Vader could surpass Palpatine and most definitely kill all of these guys regardless of their numbers advantage.
Even as he is I don’t buy them having strength in numbers giving them the edge over Vader. He’s come out of impossible situations before.

They have but Vader has been shown to be able to manipulate his mechanical limbs with the force.
When he was completely shut down by Cylo, Vader was still able to act because of the Force.

I thought on canon Vader was more powerful than sidious?
He could be, but he never surpassed him because he could never fully embrace the dark side like Sidious. Unlike Sidious who is quite literally 100% pure evil, Vader could never truly get rid of the good in him “Anakin”, he can get close at times but it never lasts as he is shown to still be conflicted by RotJ.
The Exegol comics showed this with Vader being so weakened by his grief after finding out about Padme that Sidious manhandled him like he was nothing and crushed all of Vader’s limbs without much effort, and even by the time Vader made it to Exegol and had regained his powers, Sidious could still overpower Vader’s control off the monster to get it to kill itself, and Vader still felt pain from the torture the giant kyber crystal was facing unlike Sidious who was so heartless that he was completely unfazed.
