After watching this scene I couldn't help but cry because we witness his struggle throughout the show. We witnessed how he suffer just to stay clean. But in reality, what happened to Looney is a representation of what is really happening to people who use drugs. I'm claiming that his ending scene was the one when he was fighting with Captain Yoo. I will always remember him as that.
I would've preferred if they had a different ending where he didnt take it cause even tho this is more realistic it would've been better to show people that there's always hope no matter what espacially considering how hard he tried

Can’t really say. The world is huge out there, still plenty of opportunities to get drugs. Besides, his family won’t be with him all the time. This is the sad reality of drug users struggling to get better.
I personally think it wouldn't have made a difference cause if he crossed through drugs in the future again, it shows he would not be able to resist and would relapse again. The test was very much needed.... if he had just walked out the car door it would be all good then.
I think it shows how police work with drug dealers to set people up. Instead of arresting the dealer they arrest the druggie? That makes so much sense😑
This scene probably hit the hardest and the most unforgiving reality check of the whole show. It somewhat take courage of the director to take the direction of this have-been-high-rating show like this especially in kdrama culture where fans backlash on story not to their liking are serious. I had fear when I see the way he look at the prison guards when they said farewell. It isn’t the same as “finally over”, but a mixed feelings of missing the place and the love he received in it, who has been subtly shown throughout the show which bring to other part of this scene who also shows that he is afraid of the world, a child whom never felt love, he doesn’t know how to deal with reality. Which is why throughout the show he just seek chaos upon himself, does this scene also show that he wanted to somehow get himself destroyed, because knowing that his homosexual relationship will never be fully accepted, on top of the relationship itself has never been stable all along? A sign of him giving up on his life. Plus he probably felt more loved and accepted in prison as compared to outside? I had such thoughts because I have numbers of gay friends who seems normal usually but deep down the fear for social acceptance as well as the over reliance on their love one always easily crunch them over and over again throughout their life. It’s easy to relate looney to them. I have two question though, what is the song when looney got handcuff again? And is the hippies a police officer or somehow relate to the polices? Or that he’s hired by looney’s mom to test him and report him? Edit: I found the song and I think it had all been set in motion, considering that this is almost Looney’s character bgm, the lyrics of the song is a very sad one, about loneliness inside that made journey of life long and exhausting and the longing for the ending from the harsh world and gone forever. Sigh, checking out the song made me felt even more heartbroken for the character. The harsh words from captain too also for some reason stood out, not only he behavioural show despise on homosexual, he also verbally not accepting it, ending with him hinting looney isn’t someone close to him aka he doesn’t even consider him as friend at least. The world has never fully open the door for looney. Sigh
looney is SUCH such an interesting character because when watching him i keep thinking of the question whether one should blame him or the external factors surrounding him and i think it's both in a way? it's not like we can blame one single individual for looney's ending whether it be him, his lover, his mother or the jpn guy i think it's just a sum effect of circumstances and people on him it's so sad how realistic his ending was,, idek why i expected a happy ending for him,, perhaps because the director really built up his character throughout the drama and showed us his will to stop drugs but in the end it was all in vain i'm so upset

Yes, I feel sad for HanYang but I think the director want to emphasize the evils of drug addiction in real life to the viewers too. It left a strong impression on me so from my point the director made it.
I think this is a good scene. It shows that, the struggle to remain clean is a daily one and once you get out with no one but yourself as the warden, that's when the struggle begin. He will be fine in the end, but for him the journey will be a long one.
The end of his character makes sense after all. Tho its really heart breaking. The whole existence of his character is all about getting attention whatever he ends up after(imprisoned & beaten up)he will take it all just at least to know somebody cares for him specially his mom or whole family. He won't just change bcos of his lover, he's addicted, his mom should also showed her support. He was more broken knowing his mom reported him to police. He always asked for his mom to his lover & dad of what shes helping but none of their responses mean of her concern even way back when he was not yet addicted. His parents were busy making money. He found his value and affection with his lover until they broke up. That's when he lost his only comfort.He lost everything he longs the most (love) & found another way to comfort himself, that's drugs. Doing so, his father & lover's care resurfaced again, the least he could get. So his end actually make sense especially when he got out & disappointed like he's back to 0 attention now that he's outside, nobody welcomed him back. It's like, if they really care for me, they won't follow my order to wait til I get back. Kinda absurd but he's character is an attention getter after all. It all makes sense 💔

For the first time i thought it was a flashback scene because it's like in the hotel park area when he was cacthed by the police back then. But why there's no "meeting scene" with his love and family. So i searched it online and DANG WHYY?! I'm here to questioning why it's like the designated situation to force my poor Looney. Why the Hippie and the police is right there?! Why they're not cacth the Hippies, he's the drug dealer and also a drug addict too. I claim it as a crime to do that to Hanyang, omg i'm so mad and sad at the same time.
I just finished watching this series hours ago and this is the saddest episode for me, specifically about him. He endured for so many months, only to fail for the day of his release. His lover is ready to marry, his mother is there for him. Ugh it's been hours already and I am still sad
Dr ko story is quite sad too, he got transferred soon to another prison when he blackmailed his boss for no apparent reason, then chul is talking about hiring a hitman for his wife's lover. This implies that Dr ko's boss arranged the prison transfer and very likely he got killed afterwards by a hitman
This scene have made us feel so sad, same like Reply 1988 when jun wan speak what he felt to deuk sun in restaurant. I just cant accept this, why the hell looney character is so enjoyable and heart warming to watch and at the end he decided to be druggie person anymore. But over all every person in that room is so heart warming. Reply 1988 = Prison Playbook, no doubt!

When looney decided to using drug again, its so sad because he promise to another his room mate in prison to not doing that again. But at the end, newly after he is released from prison he decided to trying drugs again and got betrayed. In the end, In my opinion this Kdrama is equal to Reply 1988 because many scene is so heartwarming like Reply 1988. 👍🏼
I cried all night after watching this scene, i think if his family waited for him infront of the gate the things will change. He wanted to change, he suffer a lot but in the end things didn't go well. Poor Han-yang
this is literally one of the scene in shows that actually hurt me for a long time like i feel so upset even after finish watching it, i know that this scene is showing the real world but god its so hard to accept after seeing his struggles and people who are rooting for him :((
This is the most saddest scene in the entire drama.. i was really rooting for him and in the end he again goes back to where he started..all the efforts he took are in vain. So sad knowing that he won't have a happy ending again since he is once again in the prison..

That's why family and other people is most important to Ex drug addict. I think the director want to make a lesson for viewers that ex drug addict could back being drug addict if no one beside them. Poor Han Yang. If his family and his BF wait him in front of jail, maybe Han Yang could be totally heal.
It's just sad because he was set up, though part of it was his decision. It's just sad because he actually had the will to do it but he was still vulnerable. If he was only given a chance to get proper rehab. This part made me remember what jehyuk said about not being given the opportunity. If only they gave him a chance for therapy and to recover properly then I would have accepted that scene. Poor hanyang, at least somewhere his happy ending exists.
It's been a month since I finished watching this and I can't still get to process what Hanyang did after his release. I'm still crying over this and it is really annoying what they did to his character but at some point, it's the reality. Yet his battles inside the prison are all wasted.

He should have hold on to his promise, Jungwon gave his trust to him. I have a brother who had chronic drug addiction and also went to prison for over a year because of it. However, hes a fully reformed man. I could attest to it. So for those people saying its unrealistic for drug addicts to change, youre never been so wrong.
Actually when i watch a drama i always focused with the main story and never biased on the certain characters, the only second lead syndrome that i got when I watched CLOY, but haerong is really bring myself with him... I can't continue watch this drama after that scene. 😭😭😭

I actually screamed when he took them again- man the way I felt bad for his sad ending. But again, it's realistic that it's hard to quit and resist it. lol he wasn't faking his dumbness.. it was the after effect of not taking drugs. that's what happened to the drug addicts. He became normal one time because Kaist gave him cold medicines.. It was explained in the drama tho

Just watched this scene in the drama and ☹️ He was trying his best, and I understand that it's a reality for an addict to struggle, but it's as if he was forced to relapse. There was the incident when they tried to forced him the pills and then this scene. It's clear that he didn't want to do it, it was unnecessary to make him do it even if it was a test. Like give him a break. He needed to meet with his family, specially to resolve his feelings about his mom. It would of been a different story if he were to relapse later on. This scene just crushes faith and hope.

sadly, this is the reality speaking. a druggie often relapses even after he/she makes a progress with life. someone told me one day, sometimes it's easier to get back to drugs because they offer you instant access to run away from your daily hardships. it needs very very strong will to be free, really an endless struggle and i cried for looney because i know how difficult it is for him to break free but still WHYYYYY??!! 🤧
But in another series made by the same screenwrtier of this drama, there was a small scene mentioned about this guy and it is about his success in giving up drugs ❤

the only reason he starts using drugs is because of a lack of family attention in the first place. He only needs to have some reassurance that he has someone to back him up with his fight in addiction. His parents did not fully support him. They want to be better but did not fully help him in the process. His lover is a bastard as well based on the scene I see in the drama he has some doubt in their relationship that is why he did not fully visit him. They did not even wait outside the prison cell when he finally got free. I think they are ashamed at some point because of what he did.If they loved him 100% they will be the first person he see when he is going out of the prison

This implies that Dr ko's boss arranged the prison transfer and very likely he got killed afterwards by a hitman
This scene have made us feel so sad, same like Reply 1988 when jun wan speak what he felt to deuk sun in restaurant.
I just cant accept this, why the hell looney character is so enjoyable and heart warming to watch and at the end he decided to be druggie person anymore.
But over all every person in that room is so heart warming.

When looney decided to using drug again, its so sad because he promise to another his room mate in prison to not doing that again.
But at the end, newly after he is released from prison he decided to trying drugs again and got betrayed.
In the end, In my opinion this Kdrama is equal to Reply 1988 because many scene is so heartwarming like Reply 1988. 👍🏼
I cried all night after watching this scene, i think if his family waited for him infront of the gate the things will change. He wanted to change, he suffer a lot but in the end things didn't go well. Poor Han-yang
this is literally one of the scene in shows that actually hurt me for a long time like i feel so upset even after finish watching it, i know that this scene is showing the real world but god its so hard to accept after seeing his struggles and people who are rooting for him :((

This is the most saddest scene in the entire drama.. i was really rooting for him and in the end he again goes back to where he started..all the efforts he took are in vain. So sad knowing that he won't have a happy ending again since he is once again in the prison..

That's why family and other people is most important to Ex drug addict. I think the director want to make a lesson for viewers that ex drug addict could back being drug addict if no one beside them. Poor Han Yang. If his family and his BF wait him in front of jail, maybe Han Yang could be totally heal.
It's just sad because he was set up, though part of it was his decision. It's just sad because he actually had the will to do it but he was still vulnerable. If he was only given a chance to get proper rehab. This part made me remember what jehyuk said about not being given the opportunity. If only they gave him a chance for therapy and to recover properly then I would have accepted that scene. Poor hanyang, at least somewhere his happy ending exists.

It's been a month since I finished watching this and I can't still get to process what Hanyang did after his release. I'm still crying over this and it is really annoying what they did to his character but at some point, it's the reality. Yet his battles inside the prison are all wasted.

lol he wasn't faking his dumbness.. it was the after effect of not taking drugs. that's what happened to the drug addicts. He became normal one time because Kaist gave him cold medicines.. It was explained in the drama tho

Just watched this scene in the drama and ☹️ He was trying his best, and I understand that it's a reality for an addict to struggle, but it's as if he was forced to relapse. There was the incident when they tried to forced him the pills and then this scene. It's clear that he didn't want to do it, it was unnecessary to make him do it even if it was a test. Like give him a break. He needed to meet with his family, specially to resolve his feelings about his mom. It would of been a different story if he were to relapse later on. This scene just crushes faith and hope.
They catch the drug Addict but not the seller? They trap the drug addict? In what way is that fair? Addiction is a disease, drug trafficking is THE CRIME! What a bunch of lousy cop and a broken legal system!,

But in another series made by the same screenwrtier of this drama, there was a small scene mentioned about this guy and it is about his success in giving up drugs ❤

the only reason he starts using drugs is because of a lack of family attention in the first place. He only needs to have some reassurance that he has someone to back him up with his fight in addiction. His parents did not fully support him. They want to be better but did not fully help him in the process. His lover is a bastard as well based on the scene I see in the drama he has some doubt in their relationship that is why he did not fully visit him. They did not even wait outside the prison cell when he finally got free. I think they are ashamed at some point because of what he did.If they loved him 100% they will be the first person he see when he is going out of the prison
