Wich are the RTK settings for the base ? At 2:03 we can see very quickly that you put kinematic for the positioning mode, fix and hold for the GPS mode and Off for the Glanass AR mode. Shouldn’t be static for the positioning mode and On for the Glonass mode? Thankx
Hi Fabian, please check out this guide in our docs: docs.emlid.com/reachrs/quickstart/base-rover-setup. Here you can find detailed and actual info about RTK settings and configuration for RS+ base and rover. If you need any assistance with the setup, please feel free to drop us a line at support@emlid.com.
So we have done this where we first had the base on for 30 minutes getting corrections before going around to get fixed gcp points on the rover. We then had a trial version of ezsurv and support was logged in to help us get started. As soon as she saw that I had the rover on for o ly 20 minutes she said it was not on long enough and I would have only 10cm accuracy. The rover needed to be on at least 30 minutes. If this is true how come this isn't indicates in your video?
Hi there! This video explains RTK workflow where the base and rover need a real-time correction link. As we see, you work in PPK mode. It means that both units should record raw GNSS data simultaneously throughout the whole work process. This video about PPK might be helpful: th-cam.com/video/JDxMqNxmPUU/w-d-xo.html Even if you work in PPK, there's no need to record data for 30 minutes (or any other specific time interval) to achieve good positioning results. Please provide more details about your workflow and project goal at support@emlid.com. We'd be happy to assist you.
Hi there! If you mean the Update rate in RTK Settings, it can be different. Base requires a slower update rate as it's stationary and doesn't need the same frequent amount of data. As the rover is usually moving, it needs a more frequent update.
Hi there! GLONASS is a global system, so we'd recommend you to keep settings on our recommendations. Please check this guide to find all configurations: docs.emlid.com/reachrs2/common/quickstart/base-rover-setup/.
Hi there! Since Reach RS+ is a single-band receiver, getting cm-level accuracy in a forest would be quite challenging. Multi-band Reach RS2 can work under trees' leaves, but it really depends on the forest and its density. It'd be great if you could provide us with more details about your working conditions at support@emlid.com, so we can make sure if Reach is a good solution for your work.
Hi, I tested it in an urban environment. Not in a big city, therefore, with the height of the houses on two or three floors. The parent company provided me with the GPS already with the specifications entered. I checked them again. The instrument is given for a radio transmission of about 3km in an urban environment but after about 200 meters it is difficult to fix. It always stays in float. The radio transmission does not satisfy me
It seems that this issue is caused by environmental conditions, not by an insufficient range of LoRa radio. If the solution stays in Float, then Rover receives corrections from Base, but it gets not enough good satellite signals to provide a Fix solution. Please note, Reach requires a clear sky view 30 degrees over the horizon to provide precise results. You can send us the Base and Rover raw data logs at support@emlid.com so we could investigate your case more thoroughly.
Hi Raian, 300m is far from the limit for LoRa in our products! We saw you've sent us an en email. Our Application Engineers will be in touch soon to troubleshoot this.

Hi there! We can understand your concern, and we’d be happy to look into this with you. To start, does this issue related to establishing RTK link or achieving centimeter accuracy?
@@Emlid achieving centimeter accuracy. I can see that I am receiving correction data from the chart in the software. I have updated to the latest version. still cannot get a fixed status.

I have one question. If I have to go on doing survey and purchasing emlid reach RS2 using my phantom 4, for the RTK and PPK processing method, do I still to purchase separate M2 and a lora antenna? Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Hey there, Phantom 4 has closed hardware and doesn't allow integration of third-party components. Therefore, we recommend placing ground control points when mapping with a Phantom drone. Good video, very step by step, wish it was available last year!
got mine 3 months ago. the survey kit. good to go using fielddgenius and survce. nice one emlid!
Emlid works with carlson survce? With a data collector or phone?
Thank you

Can make a tutorial video for the new Emlid flow app It's very different from the Reachview 3 app
Thanks for the comment. We are working on that!
Another question if it is set to Base 1 Hz, because in the Rover an Update rate is set at 5 Hz ..... Shouldn't it be the same value for both antennas?

Can i connect multiple rovers with Reach M+ with one Base Reach RS+ ?
A doubt, for the Glonass constellation in Chile it should be 0.5 Hz or 1 Hz ?, for the Emlid Reach RS +, Thanks

why sometimes emlids can break up on even though the signal is good???
Does this equipment work for the rural property georeferencing process?

Hi! These settings are not active for a base unit, so it's the correct behavior.
I looking to sell my set at a significant loss. I have never been able to get a fixed signal. Its been pretty much an expensive paper weight.
