    I've received my set today and can confirm that the brake loadcell is now 200kg and that there is two extra sets of elastomers and four springs. I'm impressed with the look and quality for the price but now need to get them mounted for testing.

    I just picked up a set of these. They do work well in their basic configuration. The calibration software has some bugs, but it works well enough.
    There is a flaw in the way the additional gas pistons are connected which affects the brakes. It doesn't affect the throttle and clutch so much due to the way we use them. The pistons are connected to the main frame, not the load cells. They take away from the force applied to the load cell which reduces the effective resolution of the load cells. If there are any changes in the force per distance applied to the pistons due to wear, it changes the force applied to the load cell when you actually feel the same force. Force memory by our muscles is the basic premise for load cell operation. This contradicts that premise.

    You can move the brake rod higher if you want to make it stiffer without swapping elastomers or skateboard bushings. Thats what I done with my BJ Steel GT pedals. I still swapped some elastomers though.

    can confirm ordered these pedals today April 17 on amazon and it is advertised as having multiple springs and elastomers reds being 50HA and black ones being 70HA there is also white ones at 30HA . Also pedal bushings have been replaced with bearings so the side to side play has been eliminated , source is one of the videos on page by Simsonn

    I've had these for about two weeks now coming from csl elite v1. At first I didn't like the brake spring stack(to much travel). I bought the brake kit from race sim engineering and I don't like it. I think the rod end on the brake pedal is too high which makes the effort needed to move the 70 shore elastomers harder than it should be. I put two red ones back in with with one 70 with the race sim preload spring and couldn't be happier.

    Got these myself, this Thursday 3/21 I’ll be installing the Heusinkveld upgrade kit. Elastomers and rod end bearings and their controller unit

    • @OmsrFL
      @OmsrFL 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Finished this upgrade/update today. The brake rod is about 30mm shorter on the Heusinkveld kit. Easy fix with a m8 rod coupler and another m8 bolt to sacrifice.
      The brake rod itself is a smaller diameter as well, I had a few steel spacers laying around and was able to sleeve the simsonn retaining plastic.”white one that goes at the very bottom”
      Well worth it even before the hardware upgrade was completed. The controller and software was a plug and play swap and felt amazing out of the box.
      All in about 140$ including the upgrade kit.

    Great! I’ve had Simsonn on my radar ever since You released the unboxing video. In fact a week ago I ordered a shifter from them. Supposedly it uses Hall sensors, which would be amazing considering I only paid ~40usd for it. Should get it delivered in a few days.

      @@oxyredrum I already posted 2 responses here, but all of them got deleted, I have no clue why.
      Sure. I'm currently testing it and working on upgrading the shifter knob. Will post some kind of 'overview' of my experience on yt, if I manage to find enough free time. But long story short - it's great, for the money it seems like a better option than the simjack one. It uses basically the same mechanism but with magnetic sensors.
      Unfortunately it has one majoor design flaw of which I already notified the Simsonn themselves. The upper plexi layer that is there to protect the pcb from getting hit by the metal rod is not protruding enough to the center, resulting in literally not doing anything. It doesn't shield the pcb at all. If not fixed it could kill the pcb after some (not very long) time of use.

      @@coktoco3355 appreciate it man, I had to do a couple of tinkering with my simjack cuz it kept getting a lil loose after some use but replaced some nuts got them tight it’s it’s solid now. My next upgrade will probably be the shh shifter which has multiple good reviews

  • @Universal-Dilettant
    @Universal-Dilettant 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Hello and thank you for showing. 👏
    Can you please examine the "dampers" a little more closely?
    The ones that came with my SimJack-pedals were also simple gas springs only and therefore useless (they are not dampeners at all), ...
    Thanks in advance.
    The initially slight play in the connections got worse over time (3 months).
    Despite regular oil, there was severe wear and depressions on the outside of the bearings, where the pedal levers rest.
    I have therefore now converted the bronze bearings into ball bearings and swapped most of the aluminum sleeves for stainless steel.

      You will find many videos at YT regarding usefull mods for china pedal sets (they will easily beat Heusinkveld Pros after that).
      Also Google will help you (simracing forums).
      Dont forget to use FreeJoy to set them up properly (v1.7.0b3 is compatible with the original SimJack controller).

  • @StickyPlasters

    One thing to bear in mind is that bigger load cells = less precision. Think about it like this. 120KG load cell has 16bit spread across 120KG. 200KG stretches those same bits across 200KG. Whether its noticable though im not sure.

      These are nicer pedals for sure, but they won't give to faster times over the CSL pedals. So they are a side grade in performance, but an upgrade in other respects, such as adjustability and feel under your feet.
