Alittlebitnuts2day trust me I haven’t stopped and The Furs weren’t the first 80s act that blew me away (it started with Cyndi Lauper and Echo & The Bunnymen) and it’s grown quite ridiculously since I originally posted my comment. Anyone who lived through the 80s is seriously, seriously lucky to have witnessed such a boom in creativity and talent.
LOL so great to hear that not all hope is lost. I was 15 when I bought my first Furs cassette, in Dublin Ireland. If anyone cares to hear the entire story.....
After all these years, I still feel giddy inside when I hear this song. Love The Furs forever! One of the best moments of my life was finally meeting Richard 💜
May 2019, I turn 50. A child of the 80's. The Furs were so underrated, but I didn't care. I loved all of their music, and listened to them on my Sony Walkman with pride.
The Furs are the sound of an entire era! That voice, the music, the quiet swagger -- there is no better representation of 1980s sound. This is what a good song can be, without resorting to special effects, overblown art concepts and imagery
This song is such a lovely touchstone to an era of true magic. This video became a part of me and millions of others the first time we ever saw it. It’s indelible, it’s everything right about a song.
I grew up on this music. It's the only thing I thrive to no matter what happens of the world, these are the times for the passion of compassion and empathy, thrived, and everybody loved everybody.
I saw the Psychedelic Furs back in the 80’s. They were incredible live! I was lucky enough to be in my 20’s through out the 80’s. Best time for music and fashion imo

Great songs never die, and this is one of them.
BRILLIANT I love Richard Butler! How can one not love Richard Butler? He has the perfect raunchy rock star voice, and is so animated on stage. He and Jim Kerr (Simple Minds) are epic IMHO!
54 years old and reliving this time with a young lady i adored in high school and we are together now...
What a great message ! … I think a lot of us are reliving this time today, it’s def having a necessary and healing researgence in the restricted colourless world we all find ourselves in now, but to read that you’re doing it with someone you adored at school is just great.
Strange times as we used to always say look forward to the future. But I’m with a lot of you and miss the 80s. Good times. Good music. Good friends. God bless. 🇨🇦
Today’s music can’t hold a candle to this.
It can't hold Sixteen Candles to it!!
Tôo true
Absolutely, we have so many more from the eighties too ,the new stuff just don't cut it, n I'm already 20 years out of date.
It's not true... c'mon life goes on!
It's getting better just give it a chance. Try drab majesty out.
I'm 72, my thirties were the BEST years of my life . . .so far ! 😊
Hi Kristy, good day to you and it is nice seeing you here.
This song is totally brilliant.Saw the Furs last night and they sound exactly like this.Fabulous!!!!
Matt Montalto lucky you where did the time go there's nothing like the 80s what a great time to grow up
Saw them in Orlando. I was front row standing at the stage and Richard Knelt down right in front of me and sang part of this song looking me in the eyes. I. Could.have. died. right .there!!! They still sound amazing and I go see them every time they tour near me. Four times now!!
Southern girl I would have died too. I think Richard is soon hot so he likes country girls cuz I'm from nc I've never seen them in person though
Go see them at the historic Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo if you can.
Wow, they're still around ?! Such happy 1980s days and their music.
In fact yes, everyone in this video did catch a cold. I love this band!
Who knew heaven is the whole of all hearts. When I listened when I was young didn't get it
The unforgettable song of my school years. It stuck in my head like a hook on a thread, it was- and still is, a cornerstone of my English lyrics comprehension.
With tears in my eyes..oh so beauty memories..back in to the 80..Now I am 75 years..
Listening to this song in Sept of 22' and it still gives me chills like it did in the 80's. Love the Furs and this was my favorite song, it always brings back memories and a smile to my face.
Music from the 80's is what get's me through most of my days today. I live with my headphones on and listen to truly great music and this is ONE of the songs at the top of the list.
Hi Jaime,I have a song to recommend to you 'Where I Come From' by Robert Nix-you might like it.
@@redskies4530 Thank you. I will have to check it out. I am always looking for great video and music to add to the playlist of the 80's and such. Thank you once again.
80’s were the best times
For sure. Way better than now lol.
Richard Butler is One INCREDIBLE SONGWRITER and has written some of the past Century's GREATEST TUNES!
LUV his work and clearly One of my FAVES!!!
Thank You Richard for SO MANY AMAZING SONGS...
TRULY APPRECIATED!!!
Still listening to this in 2019 the song never gets old to me ....love it!!!
Hear hear !
Hear , hear !
It's 2020 get the hell back here.
2020 & 63! Sounds SO good over 7.2!😁
Sì, è bellissima!
Richard held my hand during a concert in Nov 3, 2016, and I squealed because I was so happy and couldn’t believe it was actually happening. I’m 19, and God I love this band.
Good for you Pet
You were raised right! ;)
MarkSentMe I wasn’t raised with the Furs or any other of my favorite 80s acts (except Cyndi Lauper), I found them myself through my obsessive love of the 80s
It looks like they had a lot of fun making this video!
A "Heavenly" group and song! I feel so blessed to have grown up to this Music genius, and lived in this era of top quality music!!
jeffrey kicia. Yep. We were super super lucky.
"Heaven is the Whole of Our Hearts" -- What a nice lyric..
the 80's were heaven! thank you Psychedelic Furs for your AMAZING timeless music. it takes me right back and I want to just stay here forever...
No matter how many times I hear this song, it never fails to give me chills. And to make me shed a tear or two. So many memories. 💜
Close your eyes and hear this song and somehow we are magically transported back to the 80's !
I love how emotive Richard's voice is. One of the most beautiful songs ever written. :)
Hello Theresa, good day to you and it is nice seeing you here.
It rained in the 80s❤ love to you 😂
After all these years, I still feel giddy inside when I hear this song. Love The Furs forever! One of the best moments of my life was finally meeting Richard 💜
Hello Jennifer, good day to you and it is nice seeing you here.
May 2019, I turn 50. A child of the 80's. The Furs were so underrated, but I didn't care. I loved all of their music, and listened to them on my Sony Walkman with pride.
Sony Walkman...yes! I wouldn’t have made it through the 80’s without it.
The Furs are still out there playing the Hits. So underrated. Peace to All.
The Psychedelic Furs is my little piece of Heaven on Earth
Hi I Recommend an indie Song & Video Called 'looking Into the mirror' by Robert Nix
Richard was having so much fun then and still does with his brother Tim. Good on them!
Love love love this song! The bassline, piano, and synthesizer on this song is just off the charts. How cute is Timothy Butler!
The Furs are the sound of an entire era! That voice, the music, the quiet swagger -- there is no better representation of 1980s sound. This is what a good song can be, without resorting to special effects, overblown art concepts and imagery
Hello there, good day to you and it is nice seeing you here.
Another killer band from the 80s. Helluva decade for music. So stoked I was there.
Theres always a favourite song from a band that hits you in 💗🙏.Great band 👍🌷
Hello Sandra, good day to you and it is nice seeing you here.
Heaven is the whole of our hearts......and nothing else.
Richard was and is so beautiful, isn't he?! The graceful movement, the facial changes...
Best music, best era! Great Bands! We are definitely the fortunate ones to be able to experience all of this music in the 80’s in our youth.
I still love the intensive love and happiness of the bands to sing those Songs. Heaven is the whole of our heart
This song is such a lovely touchstone to an era of true magic. This video became a part of me and millions of others the first time we ever saw it. It’s indelible, it’s everything right about a song.
Such a talented great group. Way underrated for sure in my opinion. Richard Butler is amazing as is the entire band.
I grew up on this music. It's the only thing I thrive to no matter what happens of the world, these are the times for the passion of compassion and empathy, thrived, and everybody loved everybody.
One of the best and most underrated bands of the 1980's.
Is there a single song that sucks from this band? They're perfect!!!!
Just saw them in Pensacola and they sound even better live.
No :) Probably my most-seen band back in the LA clubs in the day!
Mitch Harris You are so lucky
I saw them here in Tucson. Fucking amazing
Saw them here in Lincoln with The Church 2 months ago. Two of my favorite bands. Awesome show.
I saw the Psychedelic Furs back in the 80’s. They were incredible live! I was lucky enough to be in my 20’s through out the 80’s. Best time for music and fashion imo
One of the most unique voices I've ever heard. Just love it.
What about Robert Smith's voice
Has David Bowie vibes
@@david_post_punk his voice is my all time favorite. There will always be a youthfulness to his voice. Swoon!
Thought provoking lyrics overlayed with soaring romantic harmonies.
So happy to rediscover these guys
Saw them in DC a couple of weeks ago, they sounded amazing! I’m 54, I grew up on the second British Invasion of music, from the late 70’s into the 80’s! Best time to be alive! ❤
My all time fave Furs song....such beautiful, gorgeous lyrics..
and that incredible piano throughout 🌹
Hi I Recommend an indie Song & Video Called 'looking Into the mirror' by Robert Nix
This song has been, from the first time I heard it when released, an uplifting song that I return to as I grow older! Love Richard Butler's singing and love the song so much. Found my vinyl of it recently when sorting records... serendipity. Heaven!
Heaven.......only thru Jesus Christ this is possible....hope.
No doubt. One of the most underrated bands of all time. This track is unreal
Love this song ... can't erase this one from my memory of 52 years
