    The minor complaint of the time was that the original "We Are The Champions" song ended with the last lyric hanging. Made everyone's OCD gene kickin. They started adding "...of the world" at the end, but each concert, folks always wondered until the end. Great hook!

    • @saxrach
      @saxrach 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahh that's interesting as I've been seeing some comments lately on the Mandela effect and the end of this song, people thinking that 'of the world' was at the end of the original recording,and it wasn't!

      Texas Magnolia loved it! Rami deserved the Academy award. The movie was a little off w/ timing & some facts, but it’s hard/impossible to put 20 years of a man’s life into a two hour movie. Most people don’t know this but Freddie mercury and Tim ( The former lead singer of Smile- The band with Roger and Brian prior to Queen) we’re best friends from graphic arts school. Freddie Mercury movie Brian and Roger very well and at one time before they even formed a band, they shared a flat together. Times were hard and Freddie Mercury and Roger Taylor had a store in Kensington market that they had to make money to live & eat. When Tim left Smile, Brian and Roger we’re going to throw in the white towel. That’s when Freddie Mercury was the catalyst and told them they couldn’t give up, and they had him - as a singer. They renamed the van and of course it was Freddie Mercury‘s choice. I thought it sounded regal. The movie makes it look like he didn’t meet the band until later on but in truth he met them probably around 1966-1967

    Even now, I still shed tears when I hear "We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions." Watching the Champions part of this video still had the same reaction. Mercury was a legend. Little did we know that he'd be dead 10 years after this concert. So sad. Being a Bostonian, the "Champion" part of the song is played endlessly whenever one of our sports teams wins a championship (New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins). Sweet memories
