This is like perfect car for me as I usually ride motorbike but would prefer a car if it's compact, has roomy feeling (like Safari) and can handle our broken roads. Our Safari Storm is kinda big for urban areas and I also mostly ride alone.

@@vandematram4 After riding Safari Storm, I can't feel comfortable in smaller cars. Safari has excellent suspension and ground clearance which is needed when I visit my village. But it's takes up lot of space. If thar was little smaller it would be nice. Sadly Suzuki is launching 7 seater Jimney here which is useless for me.

I just hope that Maruti can improve the general tidbits on the car like providing it with better door handles, better seat covers, better materials on the dash, rear camera, android auto, etc., just so that it can appeal to the average family buyer. MS is known to know the average Indian customer well, so I am pretty sure they will get this covered.

Maruthi suzuki should give people the option to buy both versions (3 door and 5 door). There are huge number of people willing to buy the 3 door version also in top spec trim with automatic transmission (6 speed)

I drove thar for around 600 Km, got it through zoom car believe me it’s built like a solid tank plus drive over hilly area is like a charm, you won’t feel the vehicle is dragging rather the performance will draw a smile on your face and you will feel proud when you are cruising past the vehicles like a bullet. I did not feel tired driving it rather you will feel to go extra miles, the rear visibility was somewhat I feel they could improvise but the side mirrors are huge and gives you a greater visibility. Mileage is somewhat concern but if you’re adventure seeker then you won’t regret to own this beast from Mahindra and it’s called The THAR.

Jimny is called "mountain goat".Love it. Superb review.
Is he trying to make alligator to climb the tree? Jimny is offroader n must be tested as an offroader not as commuter car. In real offroad I would like have less electronic features and fix the car with minimum basic knowledge. To be practical if someone is living in small towns or place like North East where serviceable workshop is not all equipped Jimmny will outshine the rest. It will be Fun to modify as I can see there are many possible creative ways to modify this unique car. However I like the on road review is well done by faisal bhai.
People should consider this vehicle coz it's unique and sold world wide and people love this car and earned huge respect as an offroader. Looks like pocket friendly to maintain unlike Thar which I really love as good tourer with offroad features but electronic sensors are causing many issues and I am not confident to drive Thar out of mobile network area and far away from city service.

Jimny's weight to power ratio makes it a better offroader than thar and also jimny is capable of going into more narrower places where thar won't go. This is also a major reason army buys it.
Thar may have better specs than jimny but after all it is a copy of wrangler and jimny however has the unique design.

This is problem of many people in India. Everyone should have the options to buy multiple versions. This is due to the attitude of majority of Indians who dont know about life style vehicles that a good percentage of people prefer that manufacturers are not bringing many of their international models to India. There are many people who are willing to buy lifestyle and quirky vehicles. Dont discourage.
@@gangstaplays2715 umm. Lifestyle vehicles, particularly 3 door versions are a niche everywhere in the world. Sure, alot of Indians might have less spending power. We're not unappreciative of the concept of lifestyle. But it's all about demand supply, and practicality. I can afford a Thar, but I'm still going to wait for the 4 door Thar or Jimny, because I can't go out with 4-5 friends including luggage in the 3 door versions. And I'm not going to keep extra cars unnecessarily. Sure if someone can afford multiple cars. Keep a 3 door. Also, 3 door Jeeps even In the states have less demand than the 5 door. Are they unnapreciative about lifestyle cars too?
