- This is an instruction video for the Morakniv Multi-Mount Kit:
Mount the hook and loop into the mounting rail and braid it into the backpack’s MOLLE mesh and then lock it in the desired position. Then take the narrow hook and loop and thread it into the smaller slots so that the knife sheath can be fastened in its mounting rail. Make sure that the secondary locking strap also fits under its slot in the mounting rail. Now just attach the knife to the rail and everything is fixed to the backpack.

Mora Companion- great knive for simple every day cuting tasks. But just for that. Perfect budget option only for those who had never try Kansbol.
Mora Kansbol- fantastic knive for food prepare and wood cuting. Shape and steel is in another level than Companion. Kansbol is a little bit too light and too thin for biger wood. But have fantastic balance for small hand. Perfect edc- for price and performance.
Mora Garberg- perfect tool for wood cuting and for hard tasks in the forest. I recomend this knive for people who have very strong hand grip, than you can use all Garberg advantages.
Kansbol and Garberg is an example of perfect and simple knives.

I wanted mine mounted horizontally on my belt so I used the Velcro to make belt loops that go around the mount and it works way better. still have to use two hands but it's the best configuration across the body
Спочатку купив ножа Kansbol для користування на службі. Коли почав ним користуватися, то зрозумів, що не даремно зупинився на ньому. Потім зрозумів, що звичайного кріплення на ремінь мені мало, придбав кріплення до Molli. Тепер служимо разом. Стосовно самого ножа: гарно тримає заточку, поки не було завдань, з якими він не впорався. Дуже зручно сидить в руці. Словом виправдав мої сподівання не на 100 %, а на 300. Please please please make a combination of both belt loop and retention strap and sell it as accessory!
Agreed. For now I use both. Slide the retention strap on, then slide the belt loop on, then I put a ranger band (or think rubber band) under that to secure everything. And I can stick my fire steel in the ranger band if I choose to. Works good for now.

Yes, the Multi-Mount Kit fits perfectly with the Survival Kit for Garberg & Kansbol :)
They should make these but instead for the Companion or 511 or Bushcraft

@@urban3921 I have not heard of it but I will check it out. I would prefer Morakniv to make one because Mora knows Mora knives the best. Also I think Mora would probably make a good quality and cheap one because they have made good quality yet cheap knives in the past.
Companion Expert is also molle compatible, and sheaths alone are also available for purchase ;)
This is an over engineered solution. Why not take existing MOLLE horizontal mount panel and just rivet the detachable plastic ring to it ?? I've made my own this way and it's way cleaner solution. In fact I had to grind off the existing rivets on my sheath. I'd like to try this again since first attempts are typically not great. I cannot find a source for the sheath holding piece.

It's really illegal to carry knifes like that in the UK. They to be kept inside the bag. Then taken out at campsite and put back into bag when leaving. So not really much point.

In Sweden we could legally walk around with a Claymore attached to the outside of our backpack in the forest if we liked 😃
Its a shit design only one small velcro strap holding the sheath to the mount so it rips right off when trying to pull out the knife. So stupid.

@@auldreekievaper5394 yeah I got one to mount on my plate carrier and you can't even pull the knife out without the sheath coming with it. It sucks. I had to dremel notches in the sheath and zip tie it to the mount
@@auldreekievaper5394 the mount itself stays in place on my plate carrier great just dumb how the sheath is only held to the mount with a small velcro strap.
@@michaelkiser8017 that's a bit of a bummer mate I seen anouther guy kis bushcraft down under I think it was he done exactly what you described with the zip tie I myself haven't had the problem you described with the multi mount system but that being said I mount it on my hip using the belt loop / dangler and tighten that velcro strap as tight as I can get It and can take out the knife and the scabbard stays snug but I do agree they could have done a bit more on the design as far as scabbard retention is concerned
