Oh yes please! There's just something about the current workflow that just doesn't make sense in my head...I wish it was easier and more intuitive to use.
Don't know about predictions, but 2 veeery biiiig wishes.... 1. because you said it already, get this messy interaction UI redesigned, please! i am still shipping around using this for to many interactions in one project, because I find I very hard to keep overview and track of what you are doing there. 2. my biggest wish as it would give soo much value as a webdesigner. get a serious e-commerce option integrated. i don't care if its an own one working good, or a seamless shopify integration that keeps everything in one place! just get it done, so I can sell shops without pain 😀
What I wouldn't give for server side secret storage. It seems like every couple of months we are asked migrate a project away from Webflow in order to securely leverage external api endpoints.
Like you mentioned, they should add those QOL updates (esp. the nested collections limit is just plain ridiculous) instead of adding new features nobody's really asking for.
Some things feel half-baked. I remember in Conf23 LDN in last meeting, the focus was on "delivering the best Designer possible". There have been some steps towards this and some steps backwards or no steps at all, as you mentioned there are basic stuff that are missing. Lately, my experience inside the Designer has been so unstable and slow that I swear before opening a project I take a deep breath, closing me eyes and reminding myself how much I love the product. But then opening Variables panel from Timothy's starter (blank) cloneable (a proper design system) takes approximately 850ms (close to 1s sometimes). Hit ESC accidentaly while searching for a variable? Good luck. Trying to scroll quickly through variables or Styles in styles panel and delete a style? Good luck, again. I tried to test this also in Incognito (no plugins, no bloated browser), even on M1 Pro, same. I feel I'm being punished for being fast. I like Allan's approach on 🚢🚢🚢 though 😂
They tried that and they stopped putting effort into it. You can still do it, but it's limited. So you're stuck with third-party integration for the time being.
You can do it without either of those platforms, but you still need to use something like Make and understand what you are doing with the Webflow API. Even then, it’s super limited.
I would LOVE an update for Webflow interactions. 🙏

All motion graphics and video editing tools have horizontal timeline UIs. I think interactions also needs to be horizontal.
@@pixelgeek agree! Take a page out of Rive, and every other animation tool.

high time that wf needs to roll out interaction 3.0

maybe they'll make the designer less laggy? 🙏🏽
I want to be able to gate content without having to use Outseta or Memberstack

Deleted last post as my math was off. Webflow hosting (CMS) for 1 client in Australia is costing $512/Year
Not excited about the AI shit at all. We're literally losing our jobs out here. Maybe let's not continue to enable companies to replace design staff.
Webflow is finished
