Nightmare is just the son revamped, they changed it cuz the same model got used across so many camping ripoffs so they made it 10x creepier by renaming the son to nightmare and slapping a demonic face on him

I wish this game was more original in the since that it didn’t have the same order of events as the other games. You go to a camp, go to the camping place, are introduced to the villain with a chase, spend some time in a camp, go to a cave obby, and then be confronted by the villain
I love camping but its story structure isn't very good most of the time. When it comes to writing after an event it should either be: A. Therefore or B. But. For example, James drops his ice cream on the sidewalk, therefore he buys another one. Or: James drops his ice cream on the sidewalk, but he can't afford another one. Continuing from that plot. With the sneezing bit especially, it has no meaning to the story and just happens. The player who is sick just becomes sick, and it doesn't affect the story afterward whatsoever! Story - Random Sick bit - Story. It has no need to be there but just to add two more minutes to the game, and the game was already about 30 minutes the average Camping game is about 20 or so. Not to mention that the game doesn't have much replay value, as a finale, it works but in almost all other aspects it fails. It's not my least favorite Camping game by any means, but I could've been much better. I'm probably not going to come back to it, as adding a secret ending or bad ending could kind of ruin the timeline.
Here's how i would fix the story(it's not perfect but i tried): At the start of the game we get a tour of the place, after that we get to explore a lot of things in the map for the lore so it will not get boring, the way Mickey mouse appears will stay. There would be a secret ending at the start and this ending is about limbo(aka emma) talking to herself about what if it's wrong, what if this is not the way to end zach's problems. And it turns out emma constructed him because she wanted to talk to him about there actions but he escaped not knowing who revived them. Back to the present we get several clues about steve being jealous that Daniel is getting all the shine and his not, he feels left out and alone and he suddenly disappears, the players decide to find steve after figuring out his gone and daniel stays behind just in case he finds steve around the other area. After this it was night and they heard steve crying, steve is letting out his pain in the middle of the woods and when they try to talk to him, steve meets a gruesome end by the runaway mickey mouse and the chase scene commences. After that night, the gang realizes daniel is gone and realizes that the fire is put out and the AC in the cabin is missing, meaning they are freezing and they need to make a fire before they freeze to death and just so you know there warmth clothes will not hold them for long since the weather is extremely cold. The coldness will damage a bit of your health and everyone needs to find wood, they managed to warm themselves and get extra wood just in case. after that they decide to stay in the cave since they are aware of mickey mouse knowing where they stay. The cannibalism is now a choice not a thing you do to progress the story. The avalanche scene progresses like normal and you meet up with daniel. You explained to daniel what happened to steve and daniel became sad for not being there for steve, the cast cheers him up and later they go back to the cabin because they have no choice. The mouse appears and blocks the way but limbo steps in the way, limbo trys to talk to mickey mouse about what there doing and mouse is starting to show signs of regret now. The boss continues as normal but limbo trys to attack mickey mouse and talk him out but will Accidentally attack the players in the middle of it. After that mouse knocks out everybody even limbo and ties them all up. During that mouse is starting to get thoughts about what his doing and starts to regret it. When the cart is about to be pushed down the scene progresses as normal for a bit and the son has the prosthetic leg still. Zach is now out of the costume and so is emma, emma realizes that she's fading and says to her dad she loves him like a father and he should do the right thing for her. Emma fades away and Zach is now sorry for what he done and everyone forgave him(or atleast some) and the ending progresses as normal and NO 4th PART IN MY VERSION!
I personally really liked the game. I didn’t like how long the game lasted because some scenes went on for too long. I did like that you had to eat someone but it does get annoying after a while
I thought it was good but the story felt kind of weird. Unless you find a flier explaining that Zach was brought back to life the story is hard to understand. Also there are some continuity errors like nightmare who I believe is the son from the first game, not having the prosthetic leg. Still really enjoyed it though and it’s a good way to end the series
Let's be honest park ranger Steve was always more of a filler character... also why did people think the guy in the end had a glitched leg it adds up since he got his leg cut off to a bear trap remember? The guy that "died"
I’ll answer some of the criticism here: 00:57 if you know the lore you should know that Zach had the ability to revive Emma, so reviving was already a concept, but it was at the cost of being stuck in an animatronic suit 01:15 i guess this is a good critique for most camping games and not just this one. I think it is okay to have it in there but I agree that we spend way too much time just waiting in the shack there. 01:43 this is actually my favorite part of this game. It is an overdone concept of the ring death but here it is a subversion of the concept. Instead of it being a random person and just being dependent on luck, you get to vote with one you wanna eat. So if maybe someone was acting annoying and intentionally sickened everyone you can punish them. I also love the slow realization of what is about to happen and I love the fact that you have to F*CKING eat someone and you get a random body part from them. I also love the detail of Daniel acknowledging the disappearance of the person that got eaten. But samson also realized that that person revived himself so if they did Daniel shouldn’t acknowledge it. I love the whole cannibalism part so much and it is incredibly funny and the thing I remembered the game for
You don't know the lore basically a family goes on a holiday to a hotel meanwhile you are invited to the mansion where he was supposed to kill them but they weren't there so he killed them then the hotel where everything went wrong till some thing screamed then you survive it then you meet the family that was supposed to die in the mansion that didn't believe you then you do parkour you go to the top you face the thing then in camping the family dies but instead of Zach or it it's the son after a while of surviving you go to camp only to notice it's flooding so you. Go up then the son appears that "dies" and tells you that somehow there was a killer amongst them in camping 2 goes normal till you go to the mirror you see the you dead then Zach Nolan chases u in camp then you pick a choice (spoilers) the continuation is to keep Daniel alive then you do obstacles then a cutscene happens then the ending plays then it lead to camping 3 where this guy pretty much said the story and yeah that's the lore also this is not a bot also this isn't my account I have to be in this one

I do like the idea of Zach being redeemed; however, the reviving part was kind of meh. I mean yeah, Zach did revive Emma, but that basically removes the whole point of camping 2's ending. Only one ending though. 3. Mansion: I think this part is underrated in my opinion. You get to see the backstory of Zach and Emma. However, it was a little short and no multiple endings. I just think the setting made this game the best. 2. Hotel: It has a really gameplay and the option to choose where to go was a good touch for the endings. The monster (Limbo) was also introduced and the boss battle was fun. 1. Camping 2: Gameplay is really good, and you get to engage a lot. Zach Nolan randomly appearing and attacking was fun.. You could also see the son ending Zach and getting set free.

Nightmare is the son. There is a note saying how zach was brought back in the suit like Emma. Zachs wife is never mentioned and isn’t really important
