It just occurred to me that the moment Price took command of the 141 and then disobeyed orders is when Sheppard decided that they had to die. Sheppard recognized Price as a threat and he recognized that everyone in the 141 would follow Price no matter what. So while there was no guarantee 141 would have survived, rescuing Price and him taking command of the unit did guarantee that they needed to die for Sheppards plan to continue.
Thats not it. The modem roach and ghost stole showed that makarov was dealing with shepard. They planned allens death so ww3 would happen. Shepard wanted his war for revenge.
"Someone turn off the damn TV." One sentence makes entire briefing so damn real. It feels like Shepherd is sitting in a command office while other officers are doing their own job and someone is monitoring screens with a normal TV channel. The emergency sound doesn't stop right away after Shepherd saying so, the sound continues for a few seconds and stops. It actually is like someone is getting the remote control of that TV or he or she is going towards the control panel of screens and push the button of that TV. Remember playing this all damn night when I was a kid, I was on the edge of my seat for the whole game, especially at the end, I thought price was done for, I was so heartbroken only to see him regain consciousness, no game today has made me feel this way since tbh, what happened to the love that was out into these games, even the loading screens having us go through briefing, that was a HUGE W in my opinion I loved every single detail they put into the trilogy of the 3 games. ❤

@@xr7_nv348 he actually sees the world as it is, not what he wanted to be.
@@inspecthergadget4503 I seen you can trust someone but they aren't trustworthy. I started to look around me with ppl I trusted and most only had me around because I was useful to them. Some I had the "Safehouse" mission with and they absolutely shocked me with how they really felt about me.
Man the voice acting, the music, the visuals, immerses you right in. I have played the modern warfare trilogy about a dozen times. What a masterpiece
THIS IS A LEGENDARY INTRO SPEECH
When you hear the emergency notice warning at 8:40 it honestly feels to realistic.
This feels oddly like today
"They are everywhere" - Ukrainians probably
I still remember where I was the first day when this came out, watching this on my cousin's flat screen. The second speech in particular made by Shepard blew me away as a teenager. Still can't forget this game nor find any Call of Duty that supercedes it. Everything about it is full force and perfect.
11:40 gives me chills to this day
4:18 best cutscene ever in COD history
I was 12, almost 13 years old when this game came out! Middle school. Man, so many good memories from those days. I'm not even that old, but nostalgia is a powerful feeling...
Damn i was a toddler when you were 13 years old
As much as I miss playing mw2, I’d love to see this remastered. All I can say is I’m glad I played this went it was in its prime. Literally played this game for the whole of 2010. Good times, no, great times !
PlayStation Phil boy is there good news for you lol
Well
3 months later...
so did you play the remaster?
@@leginious I have all the trophies for it
I know is something that can't be done anymore for narrative purposes, but damn, the briefing cutscenes in the Modern Warfare saga were one of the best things in the games

“Just point it out on the map, Sir. They won’t take it.”
Love that part.
A very Roman quote
Shepard has literally the best voice ever. Badass
We need this type of realism in CoD campaigns again. This was perfect.
lol, we're kind of having the realism right now in Ukraine.
I absolutely love this game! These have to do with my love for it.
I would pay anything to get back the feeling I felt when I first played the campaign. Nothing else has topped this feeling so far.
"Do not Trust Shepherd"

"His truth will be the truth. But only if he lives... and we die."

Every time I hear that siren, I get the chills. Simply amazing. I hope someday they continue onto the storyline with more battles or even a movie on the invasion?
"One bullet can unleash the beauty of a whole nation" crazy how true it is lol
*fury. not beauty
Unbelievable how many people liked this comment
I mean hey, WWI started because of an assassination.
TravisBroski
there were already tensions between the European powers the assassination was only the spark
"Just remember your new identity. It'll keep you alive."
We both know that's not true, Shepherd.
Looking back at these scenes I wish I was just a bit older when I first played this game so I could have understood it more deeply.
Everything Shepard says can literally be quoted 😂
Put on subtitles at about 2:20 and watch on. Nice upload BTW
GoldenDragonLord "sure it matters whos got the biggest dick"
The Harbour Master "But it matters a hell of a lot more who's swinging it" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
And that my friends, is worth more than army based of peel
Ridhwan Ramzi the closed captioning on youtube is pretty broken lol
+GoldenDragonLord lmfao, you have me in stitches
"The more things change, the more they stay the same."

"Welcome to the one four one, Best hand picked group of warriors on the planet" Best line!
Man, this game was amazing. The cutscenes, the mp, the ost, everthing
4:18
The teacher explaining my behavior to my parents
6:45 this scene still continues to make my hair stand.
Watching the cutscenes made me want to play the game again.
"We are the most powerful military force in the history of man."
I love that line so much, the way the voice actor delivers it is incredible. such a dope line as an american
Its fucking true too

“You have to trust someone to be betrayed. That’s why I never did.”
Meanwhile in MW3 when Yuri joined...
He did say thought i could
Remember playing this all damn night when I was a kid, I was on the edge of my seat for the whole game, especially at the end, I thought price was done for, I was so heartbroken only to see him regain consciousness, no game today has made me feel this way since tbh, what happened to the love that was out into these games, even the loading screens having us go through briefing, that was a HUGE W in my opinion I loved every single detail they put into the trilogy of the 3 games. ❤
This shit went so hard. Shepherd evokes the composure and confidence of an Ancient Roman general. You could pull him right out of a time machine and he'd fit right in. Everybody overlooks Hans Zimmer was doing the soundtrack for this game cause it was just that damn popular!
Hmm... music to my ears, you know your history. After all, where the second capitol sits, the Roman spirit still resides
"Same shit. Different day"
14 year old me: haha cranky old man mad at society
29 year old me: Damn, Shepherd was spitting facts back then
"THEY'RE EVERYWHERE" god, as a kid living on the east coast and seeing that cutscene, i shit my pants when they said russians were killing civilians.
Lorne Balfe did such an incredible job with the soundtrack. And a thumbs up for Hams Zimmer for creating the theme for the game.
Lance Henriksen's voice needed an award for this game.
" History is written by the victor , history is filled with liars." I loved that bit so much
Lance Henriksen did one hell of a job as Shepherd my God.
