The Oilers just signed Viktor Arvidsson and Jeff Skinner!!!! This is crazy. I can confidently say that this Oilers team just got a whole lot better. I also just wanted to add that I edited this video right before the Oilers signed Skinner, so I'll be giving you my thoughts on that in another video.
But this is huge. What a great day if you're an Oilers fan. What are your guys initial thoughts on these signings? Drop a comment down below as I read every single one! Keep crushing it guys. Means a lot. See you in the next one!

I've long said that Arvidsson would be the perfect winger for McDavid. His hands can keep up with McDavid's game-brain, which is something few can do. I know that he's unlikely to push Hyman off of McD's wing, but they will obviously get play-time together. And he'll be great for Draisaitl if that's where he spends most of his time. Drai's needed a quality finisher for a long time, and VA is top-tier quality. Victor will have at least two career-years in Edmonton. I predict 40 goals easy. 50 would not shock me even a little. Congrats to VInny on his contract, but he's a pylon and I don't miss him. Skinner is a defensive black hole, but he'll also flirt with 40 in the Oilers top 6 so come on down Jeff; just don't let more than 30 go past you and we'll be winning on balance. He's going to be very motivated, and on a good team maybe he'll even learn that there's a second end of the ice.
I'm equally neutral on Perry, but I totally get that if a Hart trophy winner says that he wants to play for you, you don't shut the door on him. It shows other players in the league that you're a class organization that you should want to play for. He brings character and work ethic, and that's valuable. The Henrique signing is mind-blowing. This team could score 350 goals, maybe even 400. Consider:
    Skinner - McDavid - Hyman
    Holloway - Draisaitl - Arvidsson
    RNH - Henrique - Brown
    Janmark - McLeod - Perry
That's the best first line in hockey. The best second line in hockey. And the best third line in hockey. And a passable fourth line with speed, smarts, and a Hart. The Oil are going to be an offensive monster. If they can upgrade their defence, they are the cup favourites for the next two seasons at least. Interesting that we are so much better without a GM than we were with one.

If Ardvidsson stays heathy then he could be a great add, but as I said, given his history, that is a long ways off from a sure bet. Skinner had one 40 goal season 5 yrs ago.
