Then she rushes back to her job where people's arbitrary impressions of her control her life and she sees it as okay and normal. It honestly just brings a tear to my eye.
ok, the NEW broom closet was my favorite, but honorable mention goes to the infinite hole music video generator. Also I really wanted Dan to do what he wanted to do at the moment with the park bench and sit down to listen to the fat french lady sing.
This game has come so insanely far from where it started. I remember when i watched the yogscast play it and this was simply just a half life mod with a couple of endings. And the entire bonus segment 🤯

I had always thought it was funny that there was only a down button in the Boss' secret elevator, and so I immediately questioned my sanity when I saw there were two lol.
I love how I played this game to what I thought was completion and still managed to miss the Infinite Hole ending, truly a masterpiece of a game. I hope he plays more!

Is this narrator the stand in for the developer/creator? That's really cool! I've seen stand ins for the audience before, that's quite common but a stand in for the creator is interesting.
The nature of the narrator and Stanley change drastically from one ending to the next. In some endings, the narrator is all powerful. In others, his power is drastically limited. Sometimes he knows exactly what's going on and other times he's just as confused as the player is. In one ending, he'll be an antagonist to the player. In another he'll be helpful. Sometimes he's the one who constructed the story, sometimes Stanley is, and sometimes it's an unidentified third part who pulls both of their strings. I don't think it's really possible to pin down just one thing that the narrator is supposed to be.
Fun Fact: The voice that introduces The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe during initial the monorail ride is Alex Hirsch, the creator of Gravity Falls!
