This was unbelieveable. One of the best heats I've ever seen, yeah ladies!
I totally agree that this was one of the most epic surf-out heats of all time...big tubular Pipeline waves, and both Molly and BettyLou dropping in for big points with style and grace we don't see from the guys! You ladies of WSL, all of them Rock!!! 🏄♀
Betty's progression from last season to this year has been massive. Reminds me of Molly's progression from 2022 to 2023. Both these girls + Caitlin are shredding.
Thank you. I've surfed Sunset a bunch, it's a heavy difficult wave and Betty was shredding it at 17 years old. I knew then she was stellar but never imagined her dealing with this kind of Pipe. The simple truth is they outsurf most men.
The new generation has arrived.
Up until this years Pipe I took 2015 as the best women's heat Ide seen at the final at Maui pro with Sally and Steph, but this years semis and quarters and finals of the women's was THE BEST FEMALE SURFING at Pipe EVER. All kudos to all the ladies. What a show.

Really exciting heat! It's a pity that girls surfed in really bad conditions in the previous days. Imagine how much good barrels they could have caught.

WoW crazy last 40 seconds, pipeline sends betty a bomb she charges it and gets totally shacked backside! then the judges pull the rug out from eveyone and ruin one of the greatest buzzer beaters ever! right on wsl, right on!
Betty totally got ripped off!!!Total buzzer beater...so sad what the judges did to her!!! WSL needs to be held accountable for their bad scoring already!!!

WSL TOTALLLY GOT SOME DECISIONS TO MAKE ON WHO THEY ARE FIRING AFTER THIS BAD SCORING HEAT!!! SHAME ON THE JUDGES!!! BETTY DEFINITELY SHOULD HAVE HAD THE SCORE AND THE BUZZER BEATER!!!!! WHY DID MOLLY GET A 10 ON THAT WAVE WHEN IT HIT HER HEAD AND BETTY GET A LOW 8 ON HERS WHEN SHE CAME OUT CLEAN AND SMASHED IT AFTER THAT BARREL??? YOUR FIRED!!!!

She actually got lucky she pulled it, feet on board then pig dog, as opposed to sticking directly into pig dog. Great job, but definitely a 1/4 second of time not as useful as it could have been. Great charging though for sure.
Of he couldn't. The pro men were saying that's the best wave they've ever seen a women surf at pipe. That was a bomb surfed perfectly. @@roguebossa

And world records in women’s swimming wouldn’t even medal in men’s swimming. Men and women are built differently. They compete differently. Male surfers are faster and more powerful. Women are more graceful. They’re different and that’s obvious and okay. You’re stating the obvious without recognizing the brilliance and the giftings of both male and female surfers. Maybe consider a little extra aloha spirit, bro.
