It makes 2.5 times the power and torque of standard 1600. It bloody flies even with those 31” rear tyres and from 30-60mph it is hilarious fun. The look on peoples faces when that old Beetle catches them up and flies past before they can react …. Brilliant. Remember, it’s a long stroke engine so masses of torque so really pleasant and easy to drive.
