Tucker, I have a suggestion for you on what to do about your van windows where the the foam insulation covers them. Pro tip... If you paint the window glass from the inside with black spray paint, it looks like dark tint from the outside and people wont see the foam insulation from the outside. Its real easy cheep fix that works great. I've used it before on truck camper shell windows. If someday you want to remove the paint, it comes off easy with a razor blade.
Love that Tucker is like a Magpie. "Yeah I'm going to Costa ric...Ooh look at that fog! Yeah so it's gonna be sweet... seriously look at this fog!" 😂😂 like he's seen something shiny.
You're going to have a blast down there with Guigui and his team. I trained with him last year for two weeks. I did 14 paramotor flights during training and then did 3 paragliding flights. The best free flight was at Nemaclys Lookout. Enjoy the trip it's b.a.u.tiful down there. Chanquilooooo!!
Best to use tissue or paper towel to remove excess epoxy before wrapping with tape. Actually the cloth will absorb 100% of the epoxy no need to for any on top of cloth. Then wrap with plastic wrap then if need be add the reinforcement tape. Will give u a glossy finish without sanding
Since you are into paramotors and into RC airplanes, did you ever think about getting an RC paramotor? If you don't want to buy an expensive paramotor and have some time, you can build one on your own. There are some very useful tutorials on TH-cam (e. g. by RC air adventures).
Great idea attaching the portable wind sock to the van! Is that something new? I never noticed it before. Another great video. Costa Rica should be great!
Hi Tucker, Here's to hoping you never need a backup unit then. I've not missed a single upload of yours to date and to see you grounded would not be good!! I really enjoy watching your style and skill. Sandy
Once adventure takes hold, home becomes nothing more than staging ground for the next one. I absolutely love flying my paramotor, even though it still scares the shit out of me every time. I don't think I would have even tried it if I had not seen your 1500ft video. So, thank you for that. I have gotten old and have to choose my adventures more carefully. Where my physical abilities have decreased my financial abilities have increased. I have 2 new adventures planned for 2018. First, I am planning a trip to the Grand Canyon where I hope to fly my paramotor into the canyon. Second, and this is the one I'm most excited about, I am going to Nepal where I will spend 3 weeks trekking to Everest base camp. I really just want to hang out in the villages on the way for a couple of weeks but we'll see how far I go. Thanks for all the inspiration and as always.....Never take adventure lightly.
Damn it! I'm not planning to fly inside the National Park. There are plenty of places along the Colorado River just as interesting. But , I will spend some time planning so I don't run into any trouble. I've been putting together a light weight survival kit that will pack on the paramotor. Just in case things go south and I find myself hiking out of a sketchy situation. Too many factors. Never take adventure lightly.
Hey Tucker, I just got back from Costa Rica last week! Just a heads up the winds were wicked unpredictable and heavy!!! Hope it’s good weather for you! Have fun!
Did people just early comment before watching the video? He has two Scouts, and sold the old one. He still had a paramotor. The old Scout's not for sale anymore because Jeff bought it. In the video.
Hi Tucker. I have a potentially silly question. You talk about trimming out for landing. In my understanding, when the trims are out, the wing flies faster. Why not trim in for landing - like flaps on an airplane wing? I really enjoy your videos.
What are the differences between the V2 & V3 Scout machines? I remember in the day, the running joke on new dirt bikes in some model years was, "bold new graphics" - basically same bike as last year, with different colored stickers. 😄
Na I'm sure all of tuckers scouts have the 'moster plus' engine. You might be thinking of when he test flew the prototype 'air conception tornado 280' in January. That's a prototype of the new engine / harness air conception will release soon. edit: which *is* a 4stroke. His vid on it is here: th-cam.com/video/vy3VtTmwVhA/w-d-xo.html
Was Jaclyn too cold to fly again? You need to do a video of following her around for the day. She is so loveable. You should come fly with us in Raleigh, NC. There is a lot of good countryside to fly around in.
TUCKER I'm going to ask you and woody the same thing. Could you please do a video on how you plan a longer flight. From routing around airspace, fuel calculations, etc to what you bring with you in the air. (including navigation apps you use) I'm sure alot of viewers would find this very helpful I'm have been learning paramotoring for about 3 months now teaching myself. The problem I now face is I'm in class d airspace and finding a field that is suitable to fly from is few and far between. When I do find one that looks good the land owner will not allow it. If you do the video could you give me a shout out I have three parts of my paramotor journey up already the next will be my flight. (when I find a field)
+Droning on again Hey man! I would highly highly recommend getting with an instructor before your first flight. There's always something you don't know you don't know. It's not worth risking your life for. An instructor would not only help refine your skills, but he would teach you about airspace.
Tucker Gott I completely agree with what you are saying. But I don't have £1200 to spend on training and I can't take all that time off of work. I have had more hours in the last few months than I would have learning with someone. I have a problem retaining information when there's so much to take in. I prefer to be drip fed lol. check out one of my videos forward launch is probably the best one. I have powered taxi and I can launch fly 4 feet off the ground for around 15 seconds before I run out of space and then land. I have done this a few times now. the reason I don't go higher is because I'm on a 05 path under our local airport. I use an app called windy for weather. I'm using skydemon which I have been playing around with to plan "flights" and understand airspace. Also had meetings with my airport ATC. I was just wondering how you guys done it and what apps you use. I will admit I am very nervous about my first proper flight and I understand you don't want to give out to much information on here because idiots like me will think it's easy and try doing it on there own. lol. everything I have done is self taught from engine rebuilds. motorcross . making 14 foot wingspan rc planes. welding making drones from scratch. restoring vintage cars. I have alot of common sense. (Unfortunately just not when it comes to getting training). Keep up your great vids Harry
+Droning on again In my opinion, if you don't have the time or money to get into this sport with proper instruction, you should wait until you do. Just like flying an airplane or skydiving, paramotoring can kill you if mistreated. It's just not worth the risk. If you can't afford training, at very least find some experienced local pilots to help you out. Aside from protecting your own well being, it really is the responsibility of every pilot to operate as safely as possible to keep this sport as unregulated as it is.
Tucker, how many hours did you put on that motor? Anyway, she served you well. Already stoked for all the shenanigans you'll get up to with V3! Thanks!
Watching the vid, I had a terrible idea. Could you land on a paramotor in the bed of a moving pickup, then take off again? This is not an idea to be done with some innocent driver that has no idea what's going on. Can't wait to see what happens in Costa Rica.
Hey Tucker actually spent some time in Costa Rica my self. I'd be glad to give you some tips on the best places I've been. Lots of great places to fly with amazing scenery as well. I'd check out Mirador Ram Luma if you get a chance. Also the chance to fly near Mount Arenal would be amazing.
dude I hate to say this but i think it was a bad idea to sell the V2 man. you're like a legend in the making and you won the Icarus on her. well the owner should put it in a glass showcase lol
Costa Rica looks sweet! Shame I couldn't make the February ParaCosta class. That's OK though I'll be at Four Winds April 28th and I'll be sure to get down to central america one of these days once I know what I'm really doing!
Great stuff, as usual. Stoked to see your Costa Rica footage! I really enjoyed the time lapse pans at the beginning of the video; what gadget are you using to shoot those?
I thought a lot about getting one of these, but honestly it makes more sense to just buy or build an ultralight like the Aerolite 103. Paramotors are cool but move too slowly, like 35mph vs (unregulated) 100mph for about the same price
Love your ripping it up. I miss UK flying. You would be bored shitless flying here in Germany. Licence required, registered airfield only launch/landing and nothing below 500ft!
Sick Tucker!! I Would love to see you fly at Corsta Rica en all the great things around that! What an amazing trip would that be.. ´Like youre vid´s man! Go on!
How many hours is it typical to get on a paramotor between rebuilds or replacement? Do most of them have an hours gauge? Are they typically rebuilt or replaced?

Man, you are such an inspiring person dude, I know I’ll most likely never be able to do something like this in my lifetime but it’s great to watch someone so young doing something he loves and be so successful with it, keep it up man.

Tucker... give us a tour of your garage and all your flying gear/toys. Talk about why you love flying so much.
Post trip depression. It's real. You found the best cure; planning the next trip. And quite a cool one too. I'm looking forward to seeing the video.
Flying around your own neighbourhood is also a way to keep your spirits up.
I can't wait to see your footage from Costa Rica.
Love that Tucker is like a Magpie. "Yeah I'm going to Costa ric...Ooh look at that fog! Yeah so it's gonna be sweet... seriously look at this fog!" 😂😂 like he's seen something shiny.

oh man... there's a lot of good memories with the scout 2... we will miss it!
You, my friend, have an incurable case of wanderlust. Just give into it because it never goes away!
You can also put clear lyca coating to protect that fresh carbon fibre.
Loving following you Tucker. Sooooooo exhilarating. Cant wait to get trained up and buy my first paramotor !
I’ve been to Costa Rica twice. You will love it
Too late now but it’s a good idea to sand carbon fiber under running water to keep the dust down. Happy flying

Have fun in Costa Rica! Enjoy the weather.
7:01 I was freaking scarred when I saw someone appeared in your back of the van, Jacklyn scarred me for the first time :)
Loved the music on this one. Have fun down south!
Hi Tucker, enjoy your trip to Costa Rica! Looking forward to the videos of you paragliding
I’m Rick Harrison and I’ll give you $90. Final offer
Snarly 90 $ for what
did you watch the fkn video?
Leave it out she's a kid.
I laughed.
Snarly You sniffed that epoxy
Freeflying with GuiGui is awesome. He has some incredible sites to fly from. You're gonna have a blast!
Hey Tucker, We are a retired couple spending 3 months here in CR. I would like to come and watch you fly if you're near our house.
Since you are into paramotors and into RC airplanes, did you ever think about getting an RC paramotor? If you don't want to buy an expensive paramotor and have some time, you can build one on your own. There are some very useful tutorials on TH-cam (e. g. by RC air adventures).

Can't wait to see Costa Rica that awesome!
HI TUCKER, IM FROM COSTA RICA, YOU ARE THE BEST! PURA VIDA!
Surely Tucker you of all people need a second motor for a backup?
For the tiny amount of equipment failures/accidents I've had that set me back, I don't think it's worth owning a second.
That's the advantage of having good equipment. Still a good idea to have a spare prop though. (ask Shane about his durability testing)
Hi Tucker,
Here's to hoping you never need a backup unit then. I've not missed a single upload of yours to date and to see you grounded would not be good!! I really enjoy watching your style and skill.
Sandy
He's got Jaclyn's... ;)
Jaclyn's is probably an 80cc lol

Sorry to rain on your parade, but you should know it is illegal to fly the Grand Canyon. Look it up if you don’t believe me
Damn it! I'm not planning to fly inside the National Park. There are plenty of places along the Colorado River just as interesting. Hey Tucker, I just got back from Costa Rica last week! Just a heads up the winds were wicked unpredictable and heavy!!! Hope it’s good weather for you! Have fun!
Mein gott! That is NOT a spar but a 12th century Samurai sword!
You're awesome Tucker... sure am looking forward to Costa Rica!
I am your #1 fan in Costa Rica. I want to meet you here! Please let me know when you're comming!
Did people just early comment before watching the video? He has two Scouts, and sold the old one. He still had a paramotor. The old Scout's not for sale anymore because Jeff bought it. In the video.
Be careful in Costa Rica! Things can get dangerous off the beaten path!
At least you know it’s going to a good home 👍🏼
Hi Tucker. I have a potentially silly question. You talk about trimming out for landing. In my understanding, when the trims are out, the wing flies faster. Why not trim in for landing - like flaps on an airplane wing? I really enjoy your videos.
+briankgrant More speed means more energy and more fun. :)
Ah. That makes sense. Thanks.
What are the differences between the V2 & V3 Scout machines?
I remember in the day, the running joke on new dirt bikes in some model years was, "bold new graphics" - basically same bike as last year, with different colored stickers. 😄
I'm pretty sure they're the same model, it's just Tuckers second and third ones.
I thought it was a 4-stroke?
Na I'm sure all of tuckers scouts have the 'moster plus' engine. You might be thinking of when he test flew the prototype 'air conception tornado 280' in January. Nope, they're both the same! I just name them v1 v2 v3 as the individual motors I've owned.
Ahh, thanks for the heads up! :)
Don't have the balls for this, but MAN you make this look incredible! Ultralight aircraft makes me nervous.
Dude please keep doing that Australian accent, kills me every time
When the vans a rockin', don't come a knockin'

Sweet Jeff has been Gott, Gotted? Can't wait for the highlight reels of Costa Rica man.
Can't believe you're coming to CR, hope you have fun dude!
Can't wait to see your Costa Rica videos! I'll be there for training in March! 🤘
Jacklyn should be going to Costa with you! She's a dedicated Para-Widow!
+Ben Smith She doesn't have a passport, unfortunately.
So? Get one!?!
Tucker Gott maybe next time! Safe trip!
+Flyboy BC This trip was only booked a week in advance and a passport takes longer than that to aquire.
I always enjoy watching you fly. Especially racing red pickup trucks :)
Its going to be warm and humid, an interesting time ahead.
Mad Skillz! Can't wait to see Costa Rica from your POV! :)
oh hey, Tucker, NJ fan here. Finally became a patron!
+Joshua Anderson Rock on man, much appreciated!
Tucker Gott you're only a couple hours from me. One day you should send it a bit South of you! Let me know and I'll come watch!
IM WAITING YOU FROM COSTA RICA!
How about step 1 let’s not do that ! Don’t get rid of it man !
TUCKER I'm going to ask you and woody the same thing. Could you please do a video on how you plan a longer flight. From routing around airspace, fuel calculations, etc to what you bring with you in the air. (including navigation apps you use) I'm sure alot of viewers would find this very helpful

Jeff is flying my Spyder. Awesome color man.
My leg twitched and picked up when you flew low over that goal post. Instincts, haha.
+Ryan Southwell Haha, nailed it! Hope you're doing well, buddy!
you will love costa rica. I go there at least four times a year, my next trip is in April.
Jaclyn is such a trooper
Tucker, how many hours did you put on that motor? Anyway, she served you well. Already stoked for all the shenanigans you'll get up to with V3! Thanks!
Geert van der Wal She left with 106.5 hours! I think I got her in March of 2017.
Tucker Gott you always get rid of your paramotor a at around 100 hours
Watching the vid, I had a terrible idea. Could you land on a paramotor in the bed of a moving pickup, then take off again? This is not an idea to be done with some innocent driver that has no idea what's going on. Can't wait to see what happens in Costa Rica.
Wow
I was just in Costa Rica last summer, have a blast man! It really is quite a stunning place. Watch out for them bullet ants tho :P

+Easton Williams This sport is not about speed my friend. :)
Tucker Gott haha, yeah, i can see your point, floating around having fun! I guess for me it's more about speed/utility
Great video !! Yeah that landing was cool !!
Love your ripping it up. I miss UK flying. You would be bored shitless flying here in Germany. Licence required, registered airfield only launch/landing and nothing below 500ft!
Same as here in Canada. The worst part is no flying below 500". This is why I fly part 103 in the USA.
Dude you rock!
Really interested to get your take of freeflying paragliding dude :)
You would make a great paramotor instructor Tucker..
Careful with that carbon fiber dust.. also nice knife, kershaw leek
I've only just realized that your last name is Gott, I always thought it was Goat lol
"Billy Sheep"....in threes
Wow your channel has grown a lot since I first came here (about 10-25k)
Lets hope you don't need any more of that repair kit for V3!
paragliding? nice! come to the light side of the force! :D
Honest question how much mass can that Wing hold for the pilot? And do they make bigger Wings to carry more mass?
Yes they do make bigger wings. For example Nova makes a wing with a weight range of 120kg - 225kg
oh close. 500 pounds. I am 419 myself. does the rig weigh more than 80 pounds?
Nerys , I’m pretty sure you’d need a bigger engine too. I’d say your best bet would be to look into a quad. Check out Blackhawk paramotors for a quad.
safe travels mang
Also when i saw your mc deez vid It was the first time I had ever heard or seen anything about para motor, but now Im hooked. Looking into classes.
Curious: How much would it cost to replace those parts with brand spanking new replacements instead of repair them? Was repair much cheaper?
Sick Tucker!!
I Would love to see you fly at Corsta Rica en all the great things around that! What an amazing trip would that be..
´Like youre vid´s man! Go on!
You guys had to work so hard to take off! Was that 10 mph head wind on the beach that significant?
Man I really wanted you old scout !!!
Tucker Gott Free-flying videos please!
Have you ever tried crazy clue and baking soda as a quick fix till you can repair any small cracks...
Safe Travels and Pura Vida.
Is that an airframe hanging in the garage? :) Love the vids Tucker!
How many hours is it typical to get on a paramotor between rebuilds or replacement?
Do most of them have an hours gauge?
Are they typically rebuilt or replaced?
like how every launch now requires a foot drag haha
Keep doing videos bro your sick I'm afraid of heights but i would love to paramotor.
I thought you were going to break it again on the rail slide😂😅
"I hope I'm high enough!" Can I quote you on that?
Supposedly defense contractors repair chips in military helicopter carbon fiber propeller blades with layers of a drop of super glue topped off with baking soda. They repeat until the chip is filled.
lol. umm. battledamage maybe? Definitely NOT standard practice
Hey man, love seeing you fly in your hood; so comfortable there... how many hours do you have in the air now? Do you keep a flight log. Cheers!
Skip the outdoor grass hut motels or you could get chagra from a "kissing bug". Incurable heart disease caused by parasite. Regular hotels are safe.
Man, you are such an inspiring person dude, I know I’ll most likely never be able to do something like this in my lifetime but it’s great to watch someone so young doing something he loves and be so successful with it, keep it up man.
Why not? ANYBODY can do this.
Yeah seriously why would you say that! You can do this too!
GreatCommie we believe in you
I laughed when he said, I’m glad I know the lay of the land or Id hit a dump truck or something, and then he flew past a dump truck
Love the vids mate. Q. How many hours fly time have you done? Do you keep a log of all your flights and flight times? Cheers, Dan x
What would you do with your life if one day you woke up and were all of a sudden extremely scared of heights?
Hey Tucker, just wondering what video editor you use and if you recommend it? I am looking for something reasonably easy to use for mainly personal flying and holiday vids and figured you would be the man in the know as your videos always look great. Cheers mate
At first I was like NOOOOOOO!!! then I saw you had two of them lol I missed a couple of vids lol
Love the videos
