What’s crazy to me is his stats don’t do him justice, he was averaging 20 ppg and then his stats dipped cause he started playing through an injury that required surgery. I stand on the take that Sharpe is gonna breakout this season
@@CeoOfBettt 100%, he played a handful of games still dealing with the injury as well. I really think this could be his year for either MIP, or just a crazy breakout year, greater than Jonathan Kuminga last year
When I explain Scoot and Shaedon as far as potential franchise players and potential in general I always give the edge to Shaedon. He has the highest upside on this team and not even close. Now I believe Scoot’s work ethic and intense nature makes him more likely to reach his ceiling which I believe is a Westbrook level maybe a notch lower. Now Shaedon is more passive but has so much upside I can see him as an Anthony Edward’s or legitimately up there with hall of famers, but his personality is very passive and he doesn’t have the scoot edge so I don’t really see him ever reaching that ceiling. If I were to make a realistic opinion he has the chance to make the all-star team a few times and have a productive career.
I agree bro, it used to be closer between the 2 of them, but in doing this video, it made me realize how much better Shaedon is, at least as of right now before the season starts. And he has shown to have a lot more skills than Scoot so far. But I think both have the potential, but would have to give the slight edge to Shaedon
From his rookie season he reminded me so much of Vince Carter, all the athleticism and talent a player can ever want..he needs to figure it out when to turn the switch and get more aggressive..he looks so casual on the floor and everything looks so easy, makes me think he doesnt try at all
I really like your channel. You do a great job of expressing your opinions without being overbearing or egotistical. Shaedon Sharp will be selected to the all star team multiple times in his career and possibly get his first nod this coming season. I look for him to have a breakout season this year along with Scoot Henderson. They will lead the Trail Blazers to a championship in the next three to five years. Keep up the good work!
Hope one of the new assistant coaches is an offense guru to utilize his skills properly. But if sharpe stays healthy I think he’s gonna have a big year.
I truly think he can be as great as he wants to be. If he really puts in the work and stays healthy he could end up being one of the greatest SGs of all time
I think Shaeden easily has the potential to become a superstar. He's willing to put in more effort than anyone I've ever seen, and he can do literally everything.
Also, it takes a few years for most ppl to learn the pace of play and what to do in the NBA. So, I think that once he learns how to be as effective as possible in this league, his stats will skyrocket.
You make a valid point bro! Thanks for the comment! He's imrpoved a lot over the last year-ish, so I'm hoping he's sorta like Kawhi, just a more lowkey kinda guy. But This year should hopefully help answer those questions!
I think he can be a top 10 or better type of player I really do he has the tools it’s just about staying healthy and Portland giving the keys to unleash that’s it if I’m them I’m running the offense through Shaedon 🤷🏾♂️
Sharpe will not breakout. No matter how much I want this to happen, it won't. The Blazers already have Simons and Grant in the starting like playing the 2 and 3, which is where Sharpe would be playing. Unless either of these players are traded or get injured for 75% of the season, there is no way Sharpe can actually become a star. if neither Grant nor Simons get traded, Sharpe is coming off the bench again this season. so no matter how good Sharpe actually is/will be, there isn't room for him on this team right now and its very much going to hurt his development
Jerami Grant plays the 4, and not that they are gonna bench Anfernee, but it's more important to see what you have with Shaedon, and see if he's a star, by giving him opportunities and minutes to prove himself. I just diagree and think there's actually lots of room for him to grow on this team.
@@pnwdevv but Grant is gonna be the 3 an Deni is gonna be the 4(should be their positions, but ofc they might swap which doesnt make sense), which doesn't leave much space for Sharpe. Billups won't bench Simons, Grant or Deni. I understand that he needs the minutes the opportunity to show that he can really play, but he's definitely coming off the bench. He shouldn't be coming off the bench because Grant and Simons need to be traded, but unfortunately this is how its gonna be. I don't believe that this team is built well to allow for Scoot and Sharpe to develop, and there needs to be major changes for that to happen

EXACTLY! I should've put his stats for that stretch in December when he was averaging 25/5/5 over a 5 game span lol

S. Henderson +S.Sharp + D.Advia and D. Clingan for the future? maybe if we are lucky in 2025 drafts we get Cooper Flag. Would be awesome go Blazers ❤
Cooper Flagg would be amazing for sure. Thanks for the comment!
Bro where’d you find that first clip the edit is insane
Thanks bro! It was one the Blazers actually posted on twitter (and maybe IG?) haha! Best place for cool edits

Would definitely choose him over Scoot.

picking him up tomorrow and dropping Rui Hachimura. Hoping Sharpe stays healthy and up his stats this year. Avdija is not playing well
