I think the soldier’s skills on recoil management plays a huge role. I saw many video that soldier using this QBU-191 but their recoil management technique was not as good as this one, there was still a lot of recoil, unlike this video.
I would absolutely love to have one of these rifles, as an American, and as a US Marine. This thing is super neat internally. Far better rifle than anything Russia is issuing, ergonomically and in capability.
0:04 The gap between the upper and lower receiver kind of bothers me. Mud, dirt, dust are going to get in there. It probably won’t be a huge problem in China, but certainly wouldn’t last in the Middle East. I imagine also, in really cold environments where water can get inside and freeze locking up the bolt.
From the test, the opposite is true. China has every extreme environment you've mentioned from deserts to ice mountains. The gun has passed all tests and is in use in such locations.

I don't make the videos, these are usually from certain groups (PAP, SWAT, Police, Military) in China training with them. There is a video of a partial teardown of this gun somewhere online. Regarding the gas system, it is a short-stroke gas piston. I remember a patent sheet for the rifle showing two gas chambers instead of one, Cabbage on youtube has a video on this in his 3 part series of this weapon. As for the testing for this weapon, I do know some things that were tested. - Tested live firing in a deep dust chamber - Used in deserts with heavy sandstorms - High altitude testing in ice mountains - Deep freeze environments in Northern China at -10C - General water test - General mud test - Yellow River test (extreme mud & water test) - General swamp test In the designer's interview, they said they've spent ~5 years and a little over 3 million rounds during the testing. The program started back in 2013. There is a video on youtube by CCTV that goes into this with footage of the testing but it's all in Chinese and some information was left out. You will have to go on Chinese websites to find the rest of the info.

From field testing, the gap hasn't shown any issues. As for the full auto function, it's still an assault rifle with a longer barrel so it will be using same parts. It's still a DMR and won't be replacing the machine gun role but it can move into that role if needed.
this is the QBU 191 the title is incorrect, i saw the original video on bilibili, its supposed to be a marksman rifle, like the DRAGUNOV svd this is not an assault rifle. and is alot more like a SAW and marksman rifle hybrid.
Not to throw any shade, even though I love the QBZ-191 and QBU191,100M at 10 rings is just impossible no matter how good the gun is.
