Although i'm heavily against gun, from artistic perspective this is very well designed. For mechanics it's probably interesting about the mechanism system of this. Reliability etc.
The latest QBZ series, as they're using newest magazines, munitions, and multiple new Accessories... If the users are experienced on QBZ-03 or Moderns Western AR's (Mostly are Borders, SWAT, Law Enforcements, 2nd line and reserve units), the 191 are a easy-to-use... But if the users are experienced only on QBZ-95 (Which mainly all PLA armed forces were used), I guess it needs some time and training to adjust the feeling on this new rifle... Also, if there are being massive produce and field all PRC armed forces (All PLA forces, Law Enforcements, Armed Police and SWAT, Reserves and Militia forces), the only noted that is if the current magazines and munitions were still work at the 191 series (As video shown, it use new design magazines and Munitions)...
The QBZ-95 and 95-1 will service in the PLA units for a long time especially for mech infantry, border force, extra. Cause spec ops of PAP (Peoples Armed Police)and PLA units like recon infantry, marine, paratroopers and of course the spec ops will get the priority of admitting the 191 family. Also, the large production number of QBZ 95 and 95-1. As a service rifle for infantry units, QBZ 95-1 is not bad. Just in my humble opinion, the QBU 191 will replace most of QBU 88 in PLA, PAP and law enforcement very soon cause QBU 88 is suck as a DMR.

Looks very similar to the us military m4 and piston systems. But with a reciprocating handle, and chinese ammo. It's too bad china hates us. This would be a awesome rifle to add to a collection. Reminds me of a ks47.
It looks like similar ergos to the Akm an m4 mix in there.....what's the action can't imagine it direct impingement.....piston driven maybe short stroke. As someone who's a gun lover from America I want to tear this firearm apart and see how it all works....my guess is it was developed with tiewon in mind from the lighter cartridge to the overall look.....not judging the ccp/pla and the chinese people are different.
upper and lower receiver design, dual chamber short stroke gas system, ak style trigger pack, improved ar style bolt carrier and buffer, the only thing bad is the reciprocating charging handle imo, and the cartrige is the 5.8x42mm proprietary Chinese cartrige

When you've been using bullpups for over 20 years, it's gonna take some time to readjust.

Not really. One of those things that's an alright idea in theory, but almost never ideal in practice.
China switching to this because their bullpup rifle isn't really ideal for optics and night vision

That's just normal with any new firearm being introduced. It can be fixed with training.
