To the person in the first story, you could still report what you saw, now. It could help the case get solved and bring closure to loved ones of the woman, and to you. Bring justice on that creep! Plenty of cold cases that are solved 20, 30 or more years later. Think about it, not too late. ❤
Man, that first story. I couldn't imagine carrying that weight around your whole childhood, not telling anyone feeling responsible for something you had no control over.
That story reminds me of a man who had fallen down the steps of his apartment behind our church. Me and my brothers and cousins were in the back of the church when we heard him calling for help. We went over there to see who was calling and it was this man laying at the bottom of the stairs reaching out to us to help him up! But we would not go near him because he was so ugly we thought he was the "boogeyman" and would grab us and take us into the house. Our parents had drilled it into our heads that we should not go near strangers--and we saw him as a monster trying to trick us into helping him. The part that bothers me is this: Its was a very hot day and you would think we would have went and found some adults in the church to come and help him, but we left him there. That was in the 1960s and it still bothers me till this day.
@@WhattheNewTestamentReallySays I'm sorry you still feel that way to this day. All I can say is try not to dwell on it. You were a kid. Hopefully that person did get help, but at the same time it's true. What if it was a trap and one of you went to go help him and he abducted you. It's a sad world because you can never tell with people
@shsy5125 the overt description and clearly literary studies grammar is absolutely horrid. 'The songbird, he suggested. She shrugged.' Like bro if that happed you'd be concerned with what happened, not the details.
That 1st story.... that seems like a story a serial killer would tell about how he almost got caught so he was more careful from there. Have to wonder if the person who claims to be filled with guilt to this day, yet still does nothing, ever throught they could have caught a serial killer and prevented many more deaths.
Unless the storyteller is the serial killer. In this story, he would be admitting to almost being caught. He only used this format to not draw attention to himself. Your idea is very sound considering that most serial killers have that narcissistic, "God", type of complex. The thrill of almost getting caught, is just as much of a thrill, as taking someone's life. That's why you see some serial killers adopt a type of "trademark" or "signature", regarding their victims. This is to show their intellectual dominance and mortal superiority. Almost being caught just inflates their egos even more. Cheers
Awesome! Albatrosses will always remind of The Rescuers down under, such a great movie! TGreat thumbnail and creepy stories as usual that reminded me of the movie The lighthouse that is an amazing movie too, thanks a lot Darkness!
Day 6 of asking for a let's read, mortis media, and a Darkness prevails halloween mash-up collaboration. (Add swamp dweller too, he was very requested in my last few comments.
I LOVE these lighthouse stories!! The story about the MD lighthouse- I was there last year. You can DEFINITELY feel the energy from long ago. So many deaths, naturally, it would have paranormal activity. And I was there in broad daylight! But it's a heavy feeling.
Great stories! I have been waiting almost 2 days to watch this 😂! I was excited to hear about the Yaquina head lighthouse in Oregon. I’ve been there. It was built in 1873. I might be interested in the Phantom phenomena book.
Late to the party (my internet is being weird) but I enjoyed listening to this while cleaning my home. As a new follower your voice helps quiet the noise in my head that music rarely doesn't help.
Legally, no, they wouldn't even be considered an accessory after the fact, especially as a kid. BUT it is still disgusting that as an adult they are writing about how guilty they feel instead of actually doing something about it.
Ay, though we hunted high and low And hunted everywhere, Of the three men's fate we found no trace Of any kind in any place But a door ajar and an untouched meal And an overtoppled chair.
I’m sorry but that kid in the first story is a terrible person and I’m not buying into ‘oh I’m just a kid I didn’t know any better’ for all he knew that woman was still alive and could of been rescued, I get running from the man and the situation but not telling the parents or the police what happened is vile. They deserve to carry that guilt for the rest of their lives.
Even adults don't report crimes out of fear. BUT writing about how much guilt they feel as an adult instead of doing something about it, that's what pisses me off. It was a confession to make themselves feel better not to help anyone. I agree they can carry that guilt forever.
When a channel primarily** does paranormal content but then throws in real life horror, i.e. witnessing murder (which, as written here, is not the same as true crime either) without warning.. NOT A FAN. Two different mind sets. Two different subjects. Also telling us how much guilt they feel does not make it okay that they STILL haven't reported it. If they can write out the story online as an adult, they can report it as an adult. That story was a confession to make themselves feel better, pure and simple. **yes, occasionally Darkness does stories about encounters with real creepy people, but those are always about the fear of what COULD have happened. Unless, of course, the 1st story is completely made up but presented as true.. which is a different, albeit, less horrible issue for a channel that suggests it's content is allegedly true stories.
I uh don't think I changed anything in this episode lol. HOWEVER, truth be told, I do leave bits out of my narrations if I find them overly ridiculous (and that's by this channel's standards). But I don't change anything. I think he's referring to the authors changing the names (which is the authors' choice, not mine).
Look, my channel is not a news channel. And I am far more open to stories than most other channels. That's just how it's always been. If you claim to have been slapped by a dogman, I'd consider your story lol. To me, I appreciated how well written the story was and it was pretty eerie and dramatic, so I enjoyed adding it to the video. Plus, this topic was very hard to put together and I barely had enough stories. I couldn't really be picky this time.
@DarknessPrevails I understand. I'm not even annoyed at you nor the narration. It was just the story itself which was bothersome. I've been here since 300 viewers. I'm not going anywhere.
These are well read but they desperately need a bit more bite and genuine peril ... and the 2nd story - why would some random story unconnected directly to him - which at one time he says may just be a ghost story told around campfires (so likely not true) stick with him his whole life? You'll see worse - true! - stories in any daily newspaper, do they all stick on him? Carry the weight of the world around with him all the time? I just get frustrated at bad writing, sorry
The story about the oregon coast lighthouse is Yaquina Head, only the lighthouse keeper wasn't found by his wife but the assistant keeper.
That's alot better for her that the assistant keeper found him . Imagine if she had to live with that all her life .. God bless you Angela

It's a made up story...
Are you sure about that?
Yes, if true, they can still go to police
And you know this how? No one knows 100% crazier things have happened. I mean look at the world now...@hospitalcakewalk
I was about to say that, too
