Hi Thomas, I was already thinking how incredibly well-preserved it is, and you just said that it's fresh out of the box I liked Escorts, one was a manual multimeter specializing in automotive and the other in which I used to measure the first one was a tuned Ford Escort. I'd say you can change the update rate by pressing the Shift key and then Rate, which is on the Min Max key. Looks like the annunciator is showing it's at its slowest rate.
it is an advantage to use slow update for making video, i get a more stable readout that is better visual :-) but of course if you adjust something, it could be smart to use a very fast update

So far as budget goes, dual HP 3478A's are my favorite twins.
